Best guess is a more significant turn on the UKX somewhere around 7550-7700.

Thx EI!

Reached my threshold of +/-1.25% for a change of direction so today goes down as Day 1 of a (probable) reciprocal Up wave but target remains c7399 so expect FTSE100 to extend tomorrow and possibly Thursday (6 days Down and 3 days Up seems about right) followed, probably, by principal wave 2 Down.

Yes, demo, PFC does look rather interesting...but I'm trying to avoid buying any new companies until after the main correction later this year.

However, remember that a standard Segmental correction of c(61.80%) will result in FTSE100 visiting c6971 in possibly just a few weeks time.

Of course, Gateside, its the Share Centre based in Aylesbury, Bucks (the county of my birth when Slough was part of it). More chance of offering pukka advice/tips than the likes of GS.

Now that FTSE has travelled below 7264 it ought to be in at least a Segmental correction, but at the current low of 7256 it has only dropped (02.56%) and given back just (24.81%) of 6677:7447. This seems inadequate so, if it rallies to new highs without going to appreciably lower levels first (say, below 7200), then I would tend to treat any additional Up waves as bolt-ons to the current Segment. Note that this situation does not happen very often so I am expecting substantial further downside in due course.

However, if this is to be a multi-wave correction then it is usual for the initial Down wave to be followed by a strong recovery wave; my rule of thumb is c75.00% which could mean that FTSE will rally back to c7399 before resuming its correction.

Noted.

The 2 FTSE100 trackers (L100 & VUKE) now make up about 49% of our investments or about 25% of the portfolio as a whole.
