22/2/2017 18:38 | What is your largest holding now then? | nasdaqpat
22/2/2017 17:44 | Excluding cash (sorry spreadsheet not to hand) probably around 6.5% of portfolio. | gateside
22/2/2017 17:41 | HSBA has been bouncing around between 2nd and 4th largest of my holdings.May be back up to 2nd after today. | gateside
22/2/2017 17:20 | Nice bounce back by HSBA won't have done you any harm! I seem to remember its your largest holding. What percentage of your portfolio (including cash) is HSBA anyway? | nasdaqpat
22/2/2017 17:13 | Ok... maybe I can't count!12 up3 level10 down | gateside
22/2/2017 16:54 | Re-bought small amount of RTO (may ease back on imminent finals) so up to 48 companies. Our investments slightly underperformed against the FTSE100 today with a 0.16% gain as opposed to 0.38% for FTSE100. Of the now 48 shares, we had 26 Up, 18 Down & 4 Unchanged. Stock level 65.1%. | nasdaqpat
22/2/2017 09:54 | Anybody thinking this is topping out......all those acquisitions....... multibagger since 2008.......Criteria half metP | phatprofit
22/2/2017 00:13 | Not to worry, Gateside, HSBA are good value again and you have done well on them...the egg is actually on my face cos I stupidly sold them on 3 Oct 2016 @ 589p and that was a month before I started semi-converting to FTSE100 trackers. I seem to have a habit of holding on to poor performers and selling the good ones far too prematurely...I have lost a fair bit on AZN, BATS, BOY, CCL, DGE, GSK, HSBA, IHG, III, PAG, RIO, SDR, SNR, SXS, ULVR & WOS. Probably lost an average of c12% on each of 16 companies. Not as bad as it sounds but our portfolio would still be about 2% richer if we had held them to their optimum prices. However, most were offlined for a profit and we may well have ultimately rotated into other good performing stocks and latterly the FTSE100 trackers will have taken up some of the slack. BTW, you are right; there is no stamp duty on TUI. | nasdaqpat
21/2/2017 23:45 | HSBA - hard to make sense of their results. Seem to be sending out lots of mixed messages. But they are on a PE of just 11 and are yielding 6.2%As I am light on Financials I did not take any profit before today. Too bad. As they made quite a dent in my portfolio. | gateside
21/2/2017 21:35 | Segmental & Phase tallies for American Indices @ Day 72 & Day c259 respectively :- NASComp~16.57%~~(503 DOW~~~~~16.07%~(1788 NAS100~~15.17%~~(464 SPX~~~~~13.58%~~(208 All 4 indices created new aths again today! | nasdaqpat
21/2/2017 16:54 | Our investments moderately outperformed against the FTSE100 today with a 0.16% gain as opposed to a decline of (0.34%) for FTSE100. Of the now 47 shares, we had 22 Up, 21 Down & 4 Unchanged. Stock level 64.6%. | nasdaqpat
21/2/2017 15:54 | Wonder then if I didn't pay any stamp duty on TUI, as their main market is Germany? Will need to check.Any savings when buying shares helps. | gateside
21/2/2017 15:41 | Gateside, what do you make of the reaction to HSBA's results? The share price has put in 4 pukka Up waves since the 07 Apr 2016 low of 413.95p with subsequent bases @ 432.15p, 588.3p & 643.9p. If today's 660.3p holds then there may just be room for a fifth Up wave to about 720p before a segmental correction whereupon I cannot see it dropping much below 580p with further upside to come. Did you bank some profits before today? | nasdaqpat
21/2/2017 15:30 | POLY's main listing is in Moscow (MOEX) and, as robfitz says, AIM is regarded as a Growth market by HMRC so all shares are exempt. I think CEY used to be AIM but is maybe exempt now because its registered office is in Jersey or maybe cos its based in Egypt. Not sure! | nasdaqpat
21/2/2017 14:25 | Gateside, I think this is to do with them also being listed on a Foreign Exchange (if they are!) OR AIM companies. Same as Glencore | robfitz
21/2/2017 13:20 | Noticed that when I bought CEY and POLY I paid no stamp duty?Is this something particular to gold miners? | gateside
21/2/2017 08:34 | Re-bought initial tranche of HSBA making 47 companies with stock level up to 64.7%. | nasdaqpat
21/2/2017 07:43 | I do think markets will fall perhaps soon. I've not decided what I will do yet though. | invisage
