16/3/2017 19:11 | Markets need to put in their initial corrections pdq otherwise there will not be enough time for an additional Up Segment prior to the larger (Phase) correction which will likely take place between early Summer and late Autumn. | nasdaqpat
16/3/2017 17:03 | Portfolio looking good week.... but there's still Friday to go! | gateside
16/3/2017 16:57 | Our investments slightly underperformed today with a gain of 0.43% as opposed to 0.64% for FTSE100. Of our 50 shares, 30 closed Up, 15 Down & 5 Unchanged. Stock level fell to 52.9% following more profit taking in both FTSE100 trackers. | nasdaqpat
16/3/2017 16:46 | You are certainly catching up this week, Gateside! | nasdaqpat
16/3/2017 08:15 | Gold looking good. | gateside
16/3/2017 08:11 | FTSE has now confirmed that it is 5 days into a fourth principal wave, based at 7264, within the 6677 based segment which started 92 business days ago on 7 Nov 2016. My target for the fourth is modest at just c02.60% leading to c7453. Even that may not be the top as markets are likely to climb until well into April suggesting a fifth (and sixth) principal wave is on the cards. | nasdaqpat
15/3/2017 22:40 | SJPA - not had the Japan tracker long and only a couple of per cent up...bit loath to be overweight at this stage as its outperformance since Feb 2016 (+55.8%) has been partly because of strong yen/weak pound...similar to SWDA (currently offlined) the world fund but strong dollar/weak pound. | nasdaqpat
15/3/2017 21:46 | Thanks. Looking at those percentage figures makes my portfolio look far more risky! What Japan tracker do you have? And has it performed well for you? | gateside
15/3/2017 21:44 | RIO up over 6% after London closed. They might have a good day tomorrow | gateside
15/3/2017 21:38 | Segmental & Phase tallies for American Indices (plus FTSE100 & DAX for comparison purposes) @ Day 88 & Day c277 respectively :- DAX~~~~~18.75%~(1017 DOW~~~~~18.37%~(1788 NASComp~17.44%~~(503 NAS100~~16.76%~~(464 SPX~~~~~15.21%~~(208 FTSE100~10.75%~~(667 Only NAS100 made a new high today but the rest may well follow. | nasdaqpat
15/3/2017 21:28 | I don't really think we are particularly overweight in any specific sectors. Even our two FTSE100 trackers combined only make up 12.3% of our portfolio (shares + cash). After that our biggest holdings are WPP 1.6%, Japan tracker 1.4%, BARC 1.3%, HSBA 1.3%, BVC 1.3%, RIO 1.3%, FTSE All Share Tracker 1.2%, DC. 1.2%, JMAT 1.1%, RDSB 1.1%, ADN 1.0%, ABF 1.0%, PSN 1.0%, VOD 1.0%, BT.A 1.0%, RTO 1.0% and the remaining 32 shares each take up less than 1.0% but only gradually taper down. Basically, no single company or sector can hurt us! | nasdaqpat
15/3/2017 19:35 | For 2017Crude Oil is -9.6%Tracking very closely are:BP. -10.3%RDSB -6.9% | gateside
15/3/2017 19:32 | What are your current biggest sectors that your invested in? | gateside
15/3/2017 19:31 | Fed raised interest rates to 1% but probably priced in already. | gateside
15/3/2017 17:05 | Looks like we've upset Invisage...he/she doesn't seem to want to contribute anymore! Its a shame cos occasionally he/she made some worthwhile observations. | nasdaqpat
15/3/2017 16:54 | Our investments slightly outperformed today with a gain of 0.26% (AEG & RTHM featured) as opposed to 0.15% for FTSE100. Of our 50 shares, 26 closed Up, 23 Down & 1 Unchanged. Stock level is 55.8%. | nasdaqpat

15/3/2017 13:02 | Well something went right (so far) I doubled my holding in POLY on Monday. Final results out today. Currently they up 2% | gateside
15/3/2017 09:54 | SMP on the drift...maybe time to get in but I'm probably going to pass! | nasdaqpat
14/3/2017 16:58 | Our investments market performed today with a decline of (0.17%) as opposed to (0.13%) for FTSE100. Of our 50 shares, 19 closed Up, 26 Down & 5 Unchanged. Stock level is 55.9%. | nasdaqpat
14/3/2017 13:52 | I think the early rise yesterday was recognition of the fact that WG. should enter the FTSE100 with the extra capitalization brought about by the acquisition of AMFW. However, the same looked to be true when AMEC acquired/merged with Foster Wheeler and look what happened afterwards. The idiom 'Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me' seems to apply so I am reluctant to Buy WG. despite the additional drop today. | nasdaqpat
13/3/2017 22:07 | Not sure why AMFW slipped back later on in the day. You have the advantage over me, as most days I'm too busy with work to even look at share prices when the Market is open! You timed your sell well.Been reading about Wood Group, makes good reading. I'll keep my AMFW shares till they become WG. Morgan Stanley upgraded WG. to 1000p today. | gateside
13/3/2017 16:53 | Our investments significantly outperformed today with a gain of 0.85% (AMFW takeover helped) as opposed to 0.33% for FTSE100. Of our 50 shares, 33 closed Up, 14 Down & 3 Unchanged. Stock level is 56.2%. | nasdaqpat
13/3/2017 09:18 | Are you looking to hold WG. shares or have you sold? | nasdaqpat
13/3/2017 08:48 | What a lovely start to the week. Thanks AMFW | gateside |
