Markets need to put in their initial corrections pdq otherwise there will not be enough time for an additional Up Segment prior to the larger (Phase) correction which will likely take place between early Summer and late Autumn.

Our investments slightly underperformed today with a gain of 0.43% as opposed to 0.64% for FTSE100. Of our 50 shares, 30 closed Up, 15 Down & 5 Unchanged. Stock level fell to 52.9% following more profit taking in both FTSE100 trackers.

FTSE has now confirmed that it is 5 days into a fourth principal wave, based at 7264, within the 6677 based segment which started 92 business days ago on 7 Nov 2016. My target for the fourth is modest at just c02.60% leading to c7453. Even that may not be the top as markets are likely to climb until well into April suggesting a fifth (and sixth) principal wave is on the cards.

SJPA - not had the Japan tracker long and only a couple of per cent up...bit loath to be overweight at this stage as its outperformance since Feb 2016 (+55.8%) has been partly because of strong yen/weak pound...similar to SWDA (currently offlined) the world fund but strong dollar/weak pound.

I don't really think we are particularly overweight in any specific sectors.

Even our two FTSE100 trackers combined only make up 12.3% of our portfolio (shares + cash). After that our biggest holdings are WPP 1.6%, Japan tracker 1.4%, BARC 1.3%, HSBA 1.3%, BVC 1.3%, RIO 1.3%, FTSE All Share Tracker 1.2%, DC. 1.2%, JMAT 1.1%, RDSB 1.1%, ADN 1.0%, ABF 1.0%, PSN 1.0%, VOD 1.0%, BT.A 1.0%, RTO 1.0% and the remaining 32 shares each take up less than 1.0% but only gradually taper down.

Basically, no single company or sector can hurt us!

Well something went right (so far) I doubled my holding in POLY on Monday. Final results out today. Currently they up 2%

Our investments market performed today with a decline of (0.17%) as opposed to (0.13%) for FTSE100. Of our 50 shares, 19 closed Up, 26 Down & 5 Unchanged. Stock level is 55.9%.

I think the early rise yesterday was recognition of the fact that WG. should enter the FTSE100 with the extra capitalization brought about by the acquisition of AMFW.

However, the same looked to be true when AMEC acquired/merged with Foster Wheeler and look what happened afterwards. The idiom 'Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me' seems to apply so I am reluctant to Buy WG. despite the additional drop today.

Not sure why AMFW slipped back later on in the day. You have the advantage over me, as most days I'm too busy with work to even look at share prices when the Market is open!You timed your sell well.Been reading about Wood Group, makes good reading. I'll keep my AMFW shares till they become WG. Morgan Stanley upgraded WG. to 1000p today.
