13/2/2007 19:01 | I reckon that is an all time closing high? Could be said to be a bullish signal:-) Good luck GS | green sand
13/2/2007 17:40 | Blimey, above 370 already, ain't we the lucky, I mean skillful ones. Gb. | greatbull
09/2/2007 13:05 | JPM now have 7.96% | mikeroberts48
06/2/2007 15:09 | Do your own but I reckon JPM have lifted their holding from 7.3% - about another 300k. All good grist to the mill. Good luck GS | green sand
05/2/2007 10:41 | A little more buying evident this morning. Share price responding nicely, and remains in a rising channel. It could still go through 370p. | ed 123
19/1/2007 12:45 | PIM, not sure it as run out of energy just yet, but looking at last years performance, 'Sell in May' will probably be appropriate if it gets to around 370p. Best of luck. Gb. | greatbull
19/1/2007 08:02 | You could be right PIM, but very short term the chart looks due a bounce off the bottom of the new upward trend. Also confirmed by BB: (But Friday's always seem to confound!) | taylor20
18/1/2007 21:12 | Sorry, greatbull, I think the opportunity for storming ahead has passed for this year. I sold up today. I think the share price has run out of energy. Cannot even regain last years 370p high. Cannot see it getting much further for now. Add to this that we may be seeing some sort of market fall during the coming weeks. Sometimes happens as Spring approaches. Then there's ''Sell in May....''. In short, might be sensible to ditch all for a while and maybe buy back later in the year. Only my opinion, of course. Best of luck long termers, and DYOR. PIM | petersinthemarket
16/1/2007 17:24 | With you on this one Rivaldo. I've sold out of quality shares before on a drop back, only to find it storm ahead. Gb. | greatbull
16/1/2007 14:25 | Just the normal pattern of trade - no share goes up in a straight line. The trend is still up and this remains a quality company with minimal downside and excellent upside imo. | rivaldo
16/1/2007 11:53 | So why the drop over the last few days? Is eveyone baling out or is selling after the divi ? | bev.shields
09/1/2007 14:33 | Yes, it's building up a head of steam. | ed 123
09/1/2007 14:18 | Looks like a re-rating going on here. Next target - to breach the old 370p high. | rivaldo
04/1/2007 22:00 | The VP website shows the higher figures, with forecasts dated in December: .. and choose the 'financial performance' menu. | martinc
04/1/2007 21:30 | Just taking a first look at this. Given the good share price performance in recent weeks I was surprised to see that the consensus forecasts of eps for March 2007 and 2008 appear to have been reduced over the past month from 21.92 to 18.84p and from 25 to 20.04p respectively. However the same three brokers maintain a buy rating. Is there a simple explanation for this apparent anomaly? (E.g. does it arise from different tax assumptions rather than company performance?) Otherwise the share interests me - not to the extent of chasing the price up from here but rather waiting for a dip/new year hangover. | boadicea
04/1/2007 09:54 | FWIW VP has been tipped by Shares Mag today (not a main tip though) - anyone got the text? "SHARES MAGAZINE Other Recommendations: *Buy JD Wetherspoon (JDW.L), Mitchells & Butlers (MAB.L), Capital & Regional (CAL.L), VP Group (VP.L)....." | rivaldo
03/1/2007 10:04 | Edging up nicely again. I agree the above targets of 370p-400p or so - at least till the next results, when we may well get forecast upgrades if all goes as expected. | rivaldo
02/1/2007 22:22 | I'm quite chuffed about my timing on this as set out below. My view is that these should reach close if not all the way to 400p in next few months. In my opinion broker forecasts for the year could be light considering the EPS for half year. DYOR. Mr Mole - 21 Nov'06 - 19:32 - 415 of 489 edit I missed the move up on this share last year when I spotted value. I don't intend to miss the rise on results this year. Look at the chart last year from Nov to March and look at value now compared with peers such as SDY. DYOR | mr mole
02/1/2007 22:21 | Looks as though I am just about to hit my first target (in just over a month), but comfortable with raising the bar to 370p. Easy target with current forcasts, and current market mood for Services stocks. Gb. Greatbull - 29 Nov'06 - 19:23 - 421 of 489 edit I've just bought in today, and initially looking for about 340ish. Gb. | greatbull
02/1/2007 21:29 | Interesting posts lads. Interesting chart moves as well. Might be only the usual unaturally exuberant Christmas rally, but it looks like it would be sensible for me to stay in a while longer yet. PIM | petersinthemarket
02/1/2007 11:20 | Spot on Ed :o)) | rivaldo
02/1/2007 10:24 | Yeah, estimates look on the low side to me, too. More share price uplift to come, imho. | ed 123 |
