red, isn't MERC funding somebody else's decisions. Doesn't sound like you, so I presume there is something special that twitches your antennae.
Apols if you have written what it is before......?

Threw caution to the wind, ran my fingers through my hair (cos I still can), followed APAD's lead and took a walk on the wild side.
Bought more Merc @46.7p - only .7p above the placing price.
In the bottom drawer now.

Its probably not PC now to believe in retaining assets. Never mind. Add it to the list of things we buy and dont profit from. Ulvr was a great way into India!!

Apad 2nd was mine..

I totally agree. Ulvr is a fine company and great vehicle for the uk to grow with. Such a shame.

Stop sale of LSE that is not in the national interest.

Nothing deep, pete. Just that FREE is just a risky company, whereas Lithium is a bubble.

Cadbury gone (same bidder who asset stripped it), Arm gone, etc. Now ULVR. We need a .gov that protects, not a bunch of swivel-eyed, pillocks that have swallowed internationalism. We need some french style protectionism for industries and workers.

Ulvr are very intrenched in India and that is worth many many many times the offer premium.

The bod should tell them to do one.

Edit: good for my yearly challenge though.

Shame about ulver IMO.

Shareholders would be SO much better off in time without the bid.

I can understand the appeal of FREE software if it's simple to use but I can't really understand why peeps are buying the stock at this point. FREE makes no money and is not reckoned to be profitable for at least another year or two. Am I missing something?

Mrs P's little group is going reasonably well so far:

ESP -7%, JIM +23%, RGL -5%, TSTL -17%, WJG +20%, this gives overall pf +2.6%.
[note: does not align with apads monthly scoring - measured from different dates]

TSTL dragging its heels although I can't see anything actually wrong.
Interims on 23 Feb so this should give a clearer picture.

Not too sure if this will end in tears or cheers but hoping the share price bounce will stick so taking a big extra chunk of EMH. Time will tell.

I'm a relative newby to SFR but it's a bit disappointing at the mo. Down 8% in a matter of weeks. A couple of points more and I'll have to ditch it.

Mercia placing shares started trading today. It looks like a couple of the institutions have dumped their shares at the placing price of 46p. Is that a vote of confidence, or cynical institutions looking for a turn, but in this case failing - unless they were in for a placing fee of a quarter or half percent, which was probably the case.

Made the mistake of posting on the TRCS board (should've known better:

17 Feb '17 - 09:10 - 714 of 715 0 0
8th January, John McArthur, Chief Executive, disposed of 120,000 ordinary shares of 0.4p each ("Ordinary Shares") in the Company, at an average price of 515.9p per Ordinary Share.

The next line in the RNS

The beneficial interest of Mr McArthur following the transaction is 1,062,783 Ordinary Shares representing 3.9% of the total issued share capital of the Company.

Talk about Confirmation Bias ..... folks

APAD17 Feb '17 - 09:33 - 715 of 715 0 0 Edit
Confirmation Bias is when you pick on the information that might support your view and ignore all other information.

Yours is a pitch perfect example.

I should have known better than to post on a single company board.

Maybe, but it just seems to be trundling along gently in it's own furrow.
I just don't see where the growth is, and that has been reflected in the share price in recent times. I sold 50% of my holding on 24 November 2014 @ £11.4122688p so it hasn't moved too far in that time.
Broker forecasts centred on hold/neutral.

Still a falling knife.

Saw at tip on them today. As far as I know, they are arguing with the government over 'guaranteed' orders for warships that could be built cheaper elsewhere. Can that tintin read?

TRCS under the cosh again.

Int. late Mar. so nothing new there.

FY early Nov. so it is about what rns news there might be over the summer. The danger is that management buys another company with their cash in order to look good.
Should have sold the lot - have I said that before?

"After several years of challenges it’s
hard to believe that 2017 will be different.
But it’s also difficult to deny that the
shares, trading on 16 times forward earnings,
are good value for a leader in a huge
global market, and compared to its recent
history. We upgrade to buy. MB
