20/6/2016 10:58 | Dividend tomorrow. That is as about as excited as I can get over these at the moment. | bennywin
08/6/2016 17:40 | As has been mentioned above, it is the poor cash generation of the business that is holding it back. I have looked at investing a couple of times but wont until I see much better cash flow. I believe they can resolve this issue but they are not there yet. | salpara111
08/6/2016 12:08 | As far as i am aware UTW has a whole market reach therefore already has a large coverage of small suppliers with similar terms to the large ones. If i recall one of the suppliers it does a lot of business with is TGP who are not part of the "big 6" so i do not think the ST article is relevant. If anything a greater choice can ony help business such as UTW as it encourges more choice and emphasis on switching. Regarding employement of staff the business has also stated that it is looking for other avenues to attract and engagae with customers, eg the launch of a new switching website, and therefore i am not unduly worried by a reduction in recruitment. Indeed surely this policy will only result in a reduction in operational gearing and increase margins over the longer term. I think the main issue hear is a lack of confidence over the relationship between revenue and cash something the company is working hard, and with some success, to resolve. The market has yet to wake up to the fact the stock still has a cash lag but under my understanding the cash is secure. Given this is a company with small market share, huge growth potential and a service being promoted by government i am not sure what else is out there with these prospects?? | angel81
08/6/2016 10:35 | The top clutch of energy providers are in a mess according to a weekend article in the ST, they are getting squeezed by the smaller co's which operate more efficiently with much better customer satisfaction, they're also threatened by renewable energy using new technologies. Maybe there won't be as much to go round to share with UTW type outfits, the smaller co's don't appear to be using them. That's only my view, I could be wrong but I sold a while back with a view to re-entering at some point but actually don't think I will, not for now anyway. Maybe UTW will re-model themselves and provide a more general sales service to companies much as call centres did years ago. | paleje
08/6/2016 09:57 | Yep there is a reason why this is falling even though we don't it! | gswredland
08/6/2016 09:46 | Some worrying signals from the market. I have a feeling all may not be well. I had noticed a marked slow down in new customer numbers (if the Job adverts were to be believed.) The recent comments about staff retention may have referred to the fact that Salesmen were not staying at the company for very long. Add this to the CEO shifting his position, then I have to admit to feeling a tad uneasy and have dumped quite a few at a loss. It always hurts like hell selling, and then when the deed is done it somehow feels less painful when you see you still have some real money left. | bennywin
08/6/2016 00:19 | Yes Woodford I.M. still hold 26%. Also Hargreave Hale, Miton, River & Merc on the share register. At least if I am wrong I am in good company! | gargleblaster

02/6/2016 13:36 | Trading looks back to normal today, with only 43,000 shares traded by 13.30. | eaaxs06
01/6/2016 23:32 | Me neither. ! | bennywin
01/6/2016 17:57 | There were good volumes last week too, bennywin, about 800k of shares traded, which is high for UTW. I’d guess something is about to happen, but I can’t claim to know what it might be? | eaaxs06
01/6/2016 15:58 | Some heavy trading going on in the last two days ! | bennywin

01/6/2016 10:02 | Where did you get the news that Woodford is selling ? | bennywin
01/6/2016 09:52 | Debtor days at half-year over 180 days, net debt over £10m, Woodford now selling. Instis are wary about this one. Could over-shoot on the downside | mammyoko
01/6/2016 09:21 | Down to 125 again? | gswredland

26/5/2016 09:07 | Morning All Just got back on board at 155p after a fairly lengthy absence. Just a modest punt on it hopefully being a bit oversold. Fingers crossed and all that. | cwa1
18/5/2016 15:51 | Totally agree. I am curious as to why no new jobs have been posted on the Utilitywise site for over a month. | bennywin
18/5/2016 15:43 | 17 trades today, which is about average lately. Mind you, I noticed the spread was 14p a few days ago! It's no wonder people don't want to trade it. | eaaxs06 |
