17/10/2016 08:48 | What's it worth, no indication of that, credibility rub off the back of Dell's technology and ASDA's high profile sure, but how does it actually earn and how much. | paleje
17/10/2016 08:20 | ASDA now has over 525 stores across the UK and has been part of the Wal-Mart family since 1999 | bennywin
17/10/2016 08:04 | Great RNS this morning. A very prestigious contract to get. Should lead to more chances with other multiples. | bennywin
11/10/2016 11:18 | Certainly ought to at this price. But will have to wait until after results next Tuesday Will be interesting to see if other Directors have a nibble There appears to be a large seller in the market depressing price as easy to buy volume at below mid (or at least it was when I bought in a couple of weeks back) GL - SJ | sailing john
11/10/2016 11:05 | PS Hopefully the new CEO will show some faith and put his hands in his pockets and buy some shares as a sign of confidence going forward. | bennywin
11/10/2016 10:49 | Lets look at a few hard facts : Directors are heavily invested (Must have confidence) Woodford is heavily invested (No mug) The company has the size to cope with national projects and therefore has ample large sales opportunities(See Iceland example) Energy costs represent a large proportion of costs to many companies so there is a huge market opportunity going forward . Utilitywise has grown from a standing start to a large company relatively quickly . It is in no way similar to many AIM companies by which I mean , it is a real company with a real structure and it is inevitable that during its rapid growth , there will be changes of management and stumbling blocks on route. They have much more to offer other than just energy broking (See the impressive list of services on the Utilitywise web site). These will all help the cash flow. Sales have been very good and growing, and the cash flow should improve as the payment cycles catch up with each other. The new CEO would not have given up a very good position at sage if he was not confident that he would succeed in UTW. if you were interested in a short term punt you would be buying a few per cent dividend interest on todays price (Assuming the price does not drop further and there are no shocks ) and getting paid up by Christmas. The AIM market if fickle and designed imo to rob punters and ruin small companies for the benefit of their banking mates. If companies can survive this onslaught, they can rebound spectacularly. I am sure I have missed loads off, but that will do for me for now ! On a negative note, I was very wrong about ESOS bringing in a massive sales boost. Hopefully that was down to the short term problems they had with retaining staff and hopefully this has now been addressed. | bennywin
11/10/2016 09:38 | Bennywin .. like your humour buy the company lol | nw99
11/10/2016 09:28 | Interesting first post bennywho. Being a contrarian investor, I will take parts of your post as an indicator of ulterior motives. Maybe I should top up lol ! | bennywin
11/10/2016 07:11 | Oil rally may help this one | nw99
10/10/2016 22:09 | One question plagues me having the read the last 6 months of this thread? Who is "bennywin"? Neil Woodford? Geoff Thompson's secretary? An interested party? Something dark lurks beneath the surface of this company's financials. A meteoric rise, suspiciously diverse revenue versus cash earnings, an FD let go for "aggressive accounting" and now more reshuffling, a CEO gone, an MD gone, founder to Chairman, crazy staff attrition. Now it all seems to have gone a little stagnant. The only positive news I read about this company is from bennywin - seemingly "topping up" quite happily every time he posts..... | bennywho
09/10/2016 18:23 | I would guess it's because they took on too many and a high percentage were unsuited. It's presumably a high pressure environment and those struggling sink and leave. | topvest
09/10/2016 11:58 | Why cant they keep staff I wonder.Anyone know? | nurdin
09/10/2016 11:28 | Larva I have already explained to you that they recognise a portion of forward commissions on contract start date. This creates a Debtor that are mostly big six energy suppliers, as UTW contracts with Energy Suppliers and not the customers. The Big Six debtors are as good as cash in the bank! We already know what the headline numbers will be for results. EBITDA over £18m - Market Cap just under £100m currently and business moving into Europe Outlook statement will be key to post results valuation SJ | sailing john
09/10/2016 09:35 | going under 100p on results cash collection is poor | larva
09/10/2016 08:43 | It seems logical that if Utilitywise can do this with Iceland, then there are plenty of other very good opportunities with multiples. In my view, the business is very sound and doing some great things, Its far far more than just an energy broker. However, it seems the markets have a foot firmly on its value (For now) and to me that represents a cracking opportunity at these silly prices. www.utilitywise.com/ | bennywin
04/10/2016 17:15 | Has not got Geoff Thompsons film star good looks and who knows if he can match his charm? Anyway, I hope he is as good as he appears to be on paper. | bennywin
02/10/2016 15:31 | Larva, keep it up. You might help me get some nice cheap shares. | bennywin
02/10/2016 07:28 | Reading the tea leaves is dangerous - best left to the casino ! | buffetteer
01/10/2016 17:52 | share chart saying something nasty is under the surface | larva
01/10/2016 17:37 | What has happened to UTW? I held them a year or so ago and made some very handsome profits from my investment.Things appear to have gone pear shape judging by the chart. | nurdin
01/10/2016 17:30 | Larva - Cash collection is fine - what you are probably concerned about is the increase in accrued revenue (commissions based on consumption over contract) shown as Debtors. However, whilst the final figure is unknown they take a prudent view of fair value and discount - see annual report. If commissions are due they are paid when due as the Debtors are mostly Big Six energy suppliers (Blue Chip). But Mr Market mostly doesn't appear to understand the revenue recognition policy hence the share price and opportunity! btw as the volume of business increase so will the Debtors (commissions) which is actually good not bad as some appear to think! SJ | sailing john
01/10/2016 16:46 | Cash collection actually seems to have improved this year as per the net debt reduction. | hutch_pod
01/10/2016 16:11 | i can see these getting to 60p on a warning cash collection ps poor still | larva |
