In June 2015 there was a Non-Exec Director buy of 300k shares at 262.52p. Finn Cap's last price target for UTW was 274p. This was before the increase in revenues, profits and dividend, and elimination of debt, announced in the Final Results on 18/10/2016 which also stated steadily rising Earnings Per Share of 18.5p.

274p target with 18.5p EPS = PE Ratio of just 14.8

In 2014 the share price was 370p!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On current EPS of 18.5p a share price of 370p would give a PE Ratio of just 20 so that is probably where it should be heading especially as EPS should continue to grow and there is the attraction of the dividend.

Surely the chart and sentiment are intertwined.

The rise has nothing to do with write up, recommendations, sentiments...
Its' Math, pure math. Look at the chart; you'll understand.
150p on Monday then what? Please refer to the chart. I you can read it right then you'll make money.
This is how I make mine and I have been very successful.

Sphere. I agree entirely. I think we could be good for 160 - 170 currently and then a further move on continued good news over the next 6 months or so. Pull back at some stage of course.

Nice comments Sphere. Great to see the justified pickup in sentiment.

The chart for the last 7 trading days has been very interesting, I think something is cooking, and there is some news.

Despite only trading this stock, I'm not convinced the tip has caused the beginning of a re-rating here (though clearly the buying pressure has helped). There has clearly been a great deal of scepticism attached to this company with folk (including myself) questioning the accounting and cash flow policies.

However, if you take a look at the volume post the results, you'll see consecutive days of large volume. That to me looks like the larger sellers being cleared by a change in market sentiment toward the fundamentals here. The results have gone a long way to dampen some of the pessimism imo and clear any overhang which has allowed the stock to break the key 130 mark.

That doesn't mean to say that everything is fine now and it's back to the highs, it likely just reflects how bearish the market has been, so this move higher now will likely be a correction of some of that bearish sentiment. If the cash flow continues to improve with the fundamentals intact, then the re-rating will continue longer term.

Interesting watch today with buyers crawling over the stock, and no doubt they'll be scrambling to buy come Monday morning. The illiquidity will likely mean another lurch higher BUT the real question to ask now is:

In light of the perceived (I'm hard to please ha) improvement in fundamentals, what is the correct multiple expansion?

Closed at 147 today, giving a P/E of 6.8.

At a P/E of 7: 150p with a 4.7% dividend yield
At a P/E of 8: 172p with a 4.1% dividend yield

You'd say 8 was a pretty pessimistic multiple, but is that about the parking place whilst further updates come out from the company? Perhaps it's between 7 and 8? Perhaps those with rose tinted specs in abundance will tell me it's more around double that? ;-)

Something to consider over the weekend.

Sorry should have linked it! Thanks for finding it. My take from the article is the problems are starting disappear and at these ridiculously low prices it's worth a go!

Did the article say much?

IT got a write up and buy recommendation in Investors chronicle which might explain the sudden interest! What ever the cause I#m happy with the direction it's moving.

Keep an eye on this one due to the trading opportunities it presents. Like others, I was watching that key 130 mark.

There is a ridiculous amount of demand for stock here today - book is as strong as I've seen it. At this rate, you might get 150 today.

This stock could spike anywhere now (illiquid) - look at the previous spikes on the chart.
