It seems ridiculous that a penny share's quoted price is restricted to 0.25p minimum movements. And a 10% markdown on no news and no trades this morning. (60k trade now showing at 2.2).I'm expecting great thing from the animal health arm of this company, but the lowly share price is very frustrating.

AmerisourceBergen Corporation (NYSE: ABC)

“In fiscal 2016, we renewed relationships with key customers in our core business, we delivered excellent growth in our specialty businesses, and we had strong contributions from our most recent acquisitions, MWI Veterinary Supply and PharMEDium."

Segment Discussion

Other includes AmerisourceBergen Consulting Services (ABCS), World Courier, and MWI Veterinary Supply (MWI).

"Revenue in Other was $1.6 billion in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2016, an increase of 4.9 percent over the same period in the prior year as revenue increased at MWI, World Courier, and ABCS. Operating income in Other increased 3.8 percent to $70.4 million in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2016, primarily driven by a decrease in operating expenses."

There were 5 packs of Vamousse on the shelves yesterday so they have restocked. Still no Hedrin and there hasn't been for about 4 weeks. So an open goal at the moment and assuming my local situation is representative of the wider picture, sales should be good for Vamousse at least in this country.

I am of the opinion,Nobby, that whilst demand for Vamousse was high, due to the advertising campaign and the back to school period,Supermarkets were given preference whilst stocks were replenished, hence the temporarily empty shelves at Superdrug and Boots.
Jim Hills seems optimistic on the domestic front anyway,as evidenced by his share purchases.

I continue to monitor Vamousse sales in my local Boots and clearly there is a bit of an epidemic at least local to me as both Hedrin and Vamousse have been out of stock for much of the last month. I have seen no Hedrin on the shelf recently but every time some Vamousse appears it sells out very quickly. I know that at least 7 packs were sold in the last 3 weeks or so. Then 3 new packs were on the shelf last Friday and there was only 1 left yesterday so at least 2 were sold over the weekend.

So sales are clearly very good and it seems that Hedrin have a supply problem!

Lest we forget...

Robert Rowland, Entomologist, Technical Services MWI Animal Health said: "I have used TyraTech's products in the field and seen the excellent results for example on poultry mites. I really look forward to bringing this new technology to the poultry producers who will get top class pest control with very safe products."

This has recently appeared on Tyratech's website...

Thanks for putting a little more flesh on the bones ferris.
One thing seems certain;namely that MWI(given their progressive profile) would not have taken on the distribution of Tyratech's PureScience range unless they were convinced that there was a vibrant demand(across global animal health markets)for their portfolio of non toxic insect and parasite control biocide products.

Any significant future revenue stream from the PureScience division would put a whole new complexion on the attractions of TYRU as an investment.

The shares could well be a bargain at 2.35 pence, imo.

AmerisourceBergen Corporation (NYSE: ABC) announced that it plans to release its results for the Fourth Quarter Fiscal 2016 on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 prior to the opening of trading on the New York Stock Exchange.

Remember this release back in Jan 2015:-

The acquisition of MWI is expected to contribute approximately 8 cents in adjusted earnings per share to AmerisourceBergen217;s fiscal year 2015, and is expected to generate approximately $50 million in synergies by the end of the third full year, driven primarily by the benefits of AmerisourceBergen217;s scale and product sourcing opportunities. The Board of Directors of MWI has unanimously approved the transaction.

“MWI is the premier supply chain company in animal health, with leading positions in both the companion and production markets, and we are very excited to have them join AmerisourceBergen,” said Steven H. Collis, AmerisourceBergen President and Chief Executive Officer. “Animal health is a growing market in the US and internationally, and is a logical extension of our pharmaceutical distribution and services businesses. Utilizing AmerisourceBergen217;s knowledge of manufacturer and provider services, our global reach and partnership philosophy, combined with MWI’s expertise in veterinary and agricultural markets, we will collaboratively launch the next generation of superior animal health products and services together.”

“This transaction represents a terrific opportunity for MWI and our stakeholders. Our team has done an outstanding job creating value for MWI stockholders, and we look forward to continuing our success as part of AmerisourceBergen,” said Jim Cleary, MWI Veterinary Supply President and Chief Executive Officer.

“Our first core value is Customer Service, and with AmerisourceBergen, I’m confident MWI will continue to lead our industry in delivering quality service and superior value for our customers and manufacturer partners. I have been very impressed with the AmerisourceBergen team, and we look forward to working together as we continue to grow in the animal health market.”

Now that TyraTech's animal health care products are in their portfolio, let's hope MWI get another special mention for it's 2016 contributions

Possibly L&G reducing again, they went from 32m to 29m back in Feb but who knows.

Including the 300k we've had roughly 1.5m net bought this month so it appears to be an institution sized sell that's holding us down. 2.4p is also telling us they still have some to shift.

Edit: they have a few more to shift now. 2x300k sold.

I think that there might be a LARGE sale order sitting on the sidelines michaelsadvfn, for the MMs switched from being stock hungry to stock averse a few days ago.
Even so,that 300k buy is a step in the right direction.
Imo,TYRU just has to be a bargain at these levels if the BOD can successfully achieve even part of their business plan.

Buys have outweighed sells by some margin(1m+ this month) lately yet even a 300k buy doesn't move the price & there is no quote to sell online.

Odd. Very odd.
