No disrespect meant to David Orr, who I am sure is perfectly capable, but he does not really represent what I want from a NED.

To start with, I want proper independence, not someone from a connected party that Tristel have been dealing with for years and who is probably a mate of the chairman. Additionally, I want a broader base of experience than is apparent from Mr Orr's published CV, so that that experience can be brought to bear for the benefit of the company.

If Tristel need a packaging expert, they should hire one as an employee, not as a NED.

yeah, I know!

This new ned seems to be a packaging expert.

The truck comes in.
Packages of all sizes from barrels to boxes
Different countries - will they start local
language labels?
They must have a couple of hundred products
when all the different sizes are added up

Wharehouses can get quite confusing.
Must be some bottleneck to be sorted out
... or new product range ... or ...

Tristel plc (AIM: TSTL), the manufacturer of infection prevention, contamination control and hygiene products, is pleased to announce the appointment of David Orr as Non-Executive Director.
David William Edmund Orr, aged 56, brings a significant managerial and operational contribution to the Board with over two decades' experience in board roles. He is currently Group Managing Director of Fencor Packaging Group, a supplier of packaging to Tristel, a position he has held since 1999. He previously served as Non-Executive Director and Chairman of Pendragon Presentation Packaging. Mr Orr is not a shareholder of Tristel.
Francisco Soler, Chairman, comments: "The Board is delighted to announce David's appointment as Non-Executive Director. David will add to the Board's expertise and I know that he will be of great value in developing and managing our plans and objectives for the future."

Nice price action on Tristel over the past few weeks. Good to see ahead of their results (which we know were signalled by management as being strong in their earlier trading update). Also nice to see the tipsters highlight Tristels positives. Looking forward to their results!Regards,Source.

Yes difficult for any UK firm to conquer the USA, but hopefully TSTL will have built enough knowledge on what to to this time from their previous attempt a few years back (with clorox etc I believe).
