Some buying interest again squeezing up the share price Can this head back to 90p? We had a T/S on the 22nd of January last year but on Valentine's day in 2013. So I suppose we should have an update within 3 weeks.

What a load of waffle. I'm sure the 26 minutes could be condensed to less than 1.

P,
To me it looks like brand strengthening.
However, my holding isn't big enough for me to grind the small rocks - hence my appreciation of your posts.
I bought TSTL because I like brands, it pays a dividend, and I was impressed by how the management recovered from the washing machine setback.
As simplistic as that really.

APAD,

Thank you, it keeps me up-to-date

What do you think, is there much money in these plastic bags?
Or, as with the bar-coders, a useful gimmick to sell more ClO2.

Does anyone have an idea of the size of the market for these plastic bags?

I think you are being too generous there Piedro as you gave them an extra 0 in 2012. I take it profits were not 7.5 million in 2012.I wouldn't mind 75 million profit on a forecast of 7 million though if your numbers' comparison above is correct.

Looking back at the Trading Update of 23 July 2012
... As a result of a strong performance in late June in all of Tristel's business segments, both in the UK and overseas, the Company achieved revenues ahead of the level previously indicated in its update on 15 June. Results to 30 June 2012 will now show adjusted pre-tax profits in excess of £700,000. ...

- adjusted pre-tax profits came in at £750,000
- PS bought 1,000 ord. shares at 35p on that same day

From the latest AGM statement ...
... , unaudited revenues are expected to be in excess of £7 million ...

- can we expect that to mean £7.5m ?

81p mid now. I have a feeling these are going to move up as we head inbto the new year. Hopefully we can test 90p again. Piedro, he obviously lost out on his last sale so whatever the reason was, it wasn't a good call. TSTL has performed quite well in 2014 with a succession of upgrades. Some of my other shares have been a wipe-out :)

Director/PDMR Shareholding
Tristel plc (AIM: TSTL), the manufacturer of infection prevention, contamination control and hygiene products, announces that Paul Swinney, Chief Executive Officer, has today purchased 6,258 ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company at 79.5p each.
Following the transaction Paul Swinney will be interested in 900,000 ordinary shares, representing 2.21% of the issued share capital of the Company.

- well done Paul, was that just to round up the numbers?
- last year you sold 200,000 whilst other directors were supporting the SP

The director buy is peanuts to get his holding up to a round number!

A bit of a flurry of buying yesterday and followed by Paul Swinney buying in today. 80P is resistance so if we can push past this we could be set to retest 90p. Overall,it has been a very good year for TRISTEL holders and if we can continue growing then 100p plus is surefire in 2015.

Please note that Tristel has an office and employees in Russia. When I was a shareholder here I calculated the Russian turnover was pretty low, probably about £200k.

Off Topic.
Thanks dasv.
I looked at BVXP just before it first floated and after the float. Didn't like the spread, or its inability to challenge patent infringement. I also expected it to burn cash a while. ABC is now my largest holding, so I am not averse to the technology.
CCT is in the back of my mind as being one to look at - been there for ages.
CARD looks interesting. Never heard of it and I don't buy shops, I buy brands! However: small, specialist, long-standing, plus a web presence looks different. I've put it on my watch list.
I'll copy this to the ValueGrowth board (which is now a bit broader than ZULU, where you commented on NICL.

Having attended the last presentation, China and Russia are a very small part of TSTL. China seems to have been borne out of bad experience having tried to enter the market previously. Although they have had stalls in Russia and the market is potentially huge in terms of numbers, I don't think it is very far up the priority flagpole. If there is any large market that TSTL will be entering, it is the USA and that move could be up to 3 years away. Given the current state of the rouble and Russian geopolitics, TSTL have made a wise move not to put too much effort into Russia. Looks like the market is agreeing with you, Piedro although I think the share price fall is fairly temporary.
