17/12/2014 05:36 | pyemckay, I consider both Russia and China v. low profile from a sales viewpoint for the reason previously mentioned, but am disappointed that there has as yet been little progress in those markets. Be that as it may, my concern at the moment is with the lack of significant revenue advances,IMO, in traditional markets. Re: Russia - 06 May 2014: Paul Swinney, Chief Executive Officer, comments: “We first registered our Wipes System in Russia two years ago. Just as we have experienced in all the markets in which we have introduced the Wipes, it takes several years before our novel and innovative approach to decontaminating ENT endoscopes gains widespread acceptance. The tipping point is recognition of its merits by the clinical specialty which has now happened in Russia. We have a well-established branch operation in Moscow and look forward to building our presence in this substantial market DYOR, and read the thread. I try to see that all relevant articles are published. P. | piedro
17/12/2014 00:21 | LOL. so your a shareholder who doesnt know the answer to my question. How can you evaluate the share properly given what is happening in russia? There is a fallout in revenue and I want to know how much before I think about investing. Maybe you are lucky enough not to need that information but Its certainly relevant. . | pyemckay
16/12/2014 21:40 | pyemckay, I take it your not a shareholder either piedro LOL . Piedro 4 Dec'14 - 15:45 - 1126 of 1141 | piedro
16/12/2014 20:48 | it has an office in russia and sells direct to the russians. Im not a shareholder but I knew that from previous exchanges I had on here. I take it your not a shareholder either piedro. Can any shareholder cast light on the russian trading please. | pyemckay
16/12/2014 20:45 | pyemckay, Presumably very little - IMO Russia does not get mentioned in updates Neither does China. | piedro
16/12/2014 17:12 | how much business do they do in russia? | pyemckay
16/12/2014 16:40 | Mach 100, Disappointed, yes, I think so. I would have liked to have seen an increase in turnover with respect to the previous 6 months. | piedro
16/12/2014 16:33 | dasv / APAD, I would like to remind you that this is the TSTL bb. All comments re: TSTL are welcome. There are plenty of other sites for discussing your dealing prowess. Thank you. Piedro | piedro
16/12/2014 14:24 | apad - interesting post - cheers. Have a look at BVXP - very high margins but micro cap. I also have CARD (buy boring!) and CCT (good numbers). | dasv
16/12/2014 10:09 | Are you disappointed, Piedro? PBT is up 38%. Currently TSTL is on EV multiple of just under 13 and a PEG of .6 which looks cheap. Considering how poorly the wider market is performing and the uncertainty, I am pretty pleased with the update. TSTL will also up the divi.I think 100P is achievable. There is bound to be sellers on the news today but I have a feeling when the market digests the update we will soon move up. | mach100
16/12/2014 08:06 | Shame I missed them being available at circa 70p a little while back. | shanklin
16/12/2014 07:57 | AGM statement In relation to the six months ending 31 December 2014, unaudited revenues are expected to be in excess of £7 million, which is at least 9% ahead of the same period last year. We expect unaudited pre-tax profit to be no less than £1 million for the period, compared to pre-tax profit of £0.7 million for the same period last year and £1.8 million for the full year ended 30 June 2014. Put on the chart that does not look too exciting | piedro
12/12/2014 06:06 | AGM on Tuesday, and if last year anything to go by a very detailed trading update. That trading update will determine where the price goes. If the update confirms on going strong growth I suspect the share price will be testing new highs Growth, cash, and decent dividend, an ideal combination in my book | valustar1
11/12/2014 15:20 | 81p paid for 10k of shares. I think this is ready to move up again as we have had three days of gains. Can it hold over 80p? | mach100
11/12/2014 10:27 | Looks like it is testing 80p again Naos. Plenty of interest at 79p. Not sure if it has been mentioned on here but this was one of the Moneywise ( Observer newspaper) 5 shares to watch in December. It should be in the spotlight at various times during the month. I don't think we will see 70p unless there is a general market sell-off. | mach100
08/12/2014 21:20 | I'm out of this. The share price has had a good run, but I think its run out of steam for now. Perhaps things will pick up when revolver launches, but I am concerned someone else will just duplicate the product and do it cheaper and distribute quicker than Tristel, but I shall watch closely. Support is at around 70p and it looks like the share price is going back there for a third time in as many months which I don't like the look of. Will consider coming back into the share north of 80p. | naos
07/12/2014 10:14 | dasv, We seem to have similar techniques, particularly about not topiarying the portfolio. TRCS/RSW/ABC are all above 7%. I used to get twitchy above 5% but I aim pleased I didn't cut these holdings. I tend to cycle on number of stocks, but there is now a trend to finding good value (e.g. the recent fall in LTC) and buying a small holding in order to remember that the share exists. If I limit numbers I reduce the chance of stumbling across small rocket ships like KENZ which, two years after I had been increasing, people started classifying as a ValueGrowth share (My switchover from Voting to Weighing machine:-) My recent tiny holding in HDD which, although I am convinced about their technology, I expect to go bust or turn into a whinging infant demanding money all the time, is an example. I used to call this sort of decision 'gambling', but now I recognise the importance of an element of chance (that's another way of saying I'm not perfect:-). I didn't/couldn't differentiate between rocket ships and damp squibs on the launch pad, but I was careful to try to differentiate between a genuine business and a glittering con trick. As long as I still believe there is a genuine business I leave the damp squibs to dry out on the launch pad - a recent example of my often, appalling timing is Mincon (one has to be impressed with the owner's timing though!) - it's somewhere on the pad, hopefully drying out a bit. I don't know SOLI - I'll look it up over another pot of coffee. apad | apad
04/12/2014 21:07 | APAD - I do have limits. For the equity part of my portfolio I am aiming for a max of 15 stocks. I used to have 25-30 stocks but I am trying to concentrate more. TSTL is currently 3.7% of my equity portfolio (rest is cash/gilts). My limit is 5% but I do like to run my winners so won't sell if a stock gets bigger than this just in the name of portfolio rebalancing. SOLI is currently at 6.8% of my equity portfolio. | dasv
04/12/2014 15:45 | Keep buying. I sold a few when Samler left Still over 20% of portfolio Will sell more at 30% or 90p | piedro
04/12/2014 15:34 | Do you have a limit, dasv? I get twitchy if an individual share goes above 10%. About 40 shares in Portfolio. TSTL is at 1.5%, so not a problem. Rather, it is a classic, reward-success candidate. apad | apad
04/12/2014 15:28 | Apad - I was going to buy more, was historical support but felt I had enough already | dasv
04/12/2014 14:54 | Nice bounce today and 74.75p smashed. I look like to see this gap-up to 89p again. If the recent growth can be sustained we can push on over 90p this time. | mach100
04/12/2014 13:25 | Scrabbled for some more yesterday when the price dropped during the big sell time. Had to pay 72.9 including charges though - my timing is rarely that good. I'm prepared to buy some more of this brand-in-the-making on price drops, but then will wait for news-flow. apad OT Increased FEVR as well. | apad
04/12/2014 12:59 | Lots of buys this morning. Will share price have the strength to break through 74.75 resistance? | macarre
