01/12/2016 21:31 | I also find it unbelievable that you were away from work for a week yet did not find the time to log in here....... Im sure you would have found the time had the RNS surprised to the upside? | pj 1
01/12/2016 21:23 | blondeamon- I'm sorry but that does just not cut it for me. As a permanent Bull here along with '40toolong' both your absences have been conspicuous by there absence.......... Since I requested 40toolong to declare their holdings , following 33 'top ups' excluding ''heavy top ups'' and 'sells' to meet unexpected home improvement costs,a day after 'topping up heavily', I feel you need to do the same and declare your holdings to be taken seriously in future. Both you and 40toolong went 'silent' at the same time. Neither of you have declared any holdings despite BOTH being perma Bulls. If I have it wrong then I apologise, but coincidences rarely happen such as this. If you are in here too heavy, why not just admit it? Then we may all learn from your mistakes....... | pj 1
01/12/2016 10:31 | I think 80p is pretty unlikely. However, I'm hoping to add some here at below 100p. Miss the chance this morning but think they'll be other opportunities hopefully. | knowbodyyouno
01/12/2016 07:51 | my 80p target not looking so silly now.atb | runwaypaul
01/12/2016 07:49 | Nickg, when is a dip a dip, and when is it a collapse ? | graham1ty
30/11/2016 20:44 | Long term hold for me not fussed with the dip. | nickg2
30/11/2016 16:34 | From an earlier post - "John Watkins remains surprisingly upbeat and does not appear to acknowledge the scale of investor disappointment with the latest results. What really unnerved me was the way he ended the short presentation with a "Thankyou and goodbye" I'd interpret his upbeat report as a positive since he owns around 18% of the company, and it pays his salary. Different perspectives I'd guess. He's not a trader, he's a long term holder (hopefully). If he sees a bright future then he's bound to be upbeat. Let's assume he's going to hold the bulk of his shares for the next five years. Would he give a monkey's what the share price is today or tomorrow if he's confident it will be many times higher in five years time? It's back to the buy, hold and go away argument again really, although I'd add that even long term holders may trim a few profits when the share price gets ahead of itself and then buy back more in times of doom, gloom and despair. | michaelmouse
30/11/2016 14:24 | Well I can understand that - if you have driven in Dubai, as I have, you'll see horrific crashes every day ... but I'm still sceptical about the timeline because of the number of variables that have to be controlled ... we overestimate what can be done in the short term, but underestimate what can be done in the long term. It will come eventually. The original debate stemmed from a claim that the UK would be 100% driverless within ten years ... I remain sceptical. | alex1621
30/11/2016 13:00 | 20 years to get driverless started you say? Well Dubai's Sheikh has today set out a target to get at least 25% of all Dubai's cars driverless by 2030. | dan_the_epic

30/11/2016 11:03 | Do you mean Paul Scott? Can you link the article? Many thanks. | knowbodyyouno
30/11/2016 10:52 | Edit: 70p being speculated by Scott Alpha Better fish in the sea. Profit warning in a highly competitive industry. Alternatively, wait for positive (financial, not orders) news and buy after turnaround if you are convinced the company has a future. I think Scott was speculating about 70p. Worth a read. Good luck anyway, apad | larva

30/11/2016 10:22 | There is a brief presentation on Trak's interim results from John Watkins on the PI video website. hxxp://www.piworld.c John Watkins remains surprisingly upbeat and does not appear to acknowledge the scale of investor disappointment with the latest results. What really unnerved me was the way he ended the short presentation with a "Thankyou and goodbye". | bottomfisher
30/11/2016 10:07 | Alphapig, I would suggest you don't fixate on buying at £1. Go for a long walk or sit in a dark room. It might save you a lot of money and stress. Just remember: no strong delivery of near term pipeline = profit warning There it is...they can't spell it out more clearly than that. The most sensible people in my view are those that have moved on. | eagle eye
29/11/2016 16:13 | Alpha, I'm sure you'll get your chance, if not even at a lower price. | sheep_herder
29/11/2016 16:06 | I'm just a thick pi, I think Trak will go higher eventually, but in the short term there's no expected news (as far as I'm aware). The exchange rate with the euro seems to be edging better but that can change on a 0.075 euro (sixpence). Don't know what I'm talking about really, but I'm holding out for £1 to get in. If it doesn't get there then good luck those already in. | alphapig
29/11/2016 15:02 | Sheep Herder ... yes, technology for driverless cars is available, but not commercially. Everyone with driverless cars in a decade? I'll stick with my 20 year prediction. With thousands of vehicles of all shapes and sizes not to mention unpredictable events, I'm not convinced that the wholesale landing of that type of technology can be done so quickly. As for TRAKm8, did anyone expect an update like that? Would a good management team not have managed expectations better? | alex1621
29/11/2016 14:40 | There is a huge mismatch between the effect these results have had and the tenor of the 7 Sept RNS ( 3 weeks before the period ended ) What does that tell you? | phillis
29/11/2016 14:32 | I think people are missing the big picture here with TRAK. The company's technology is great and will come through in the end. The issue is that this now seems a long way off, in terms of return to shareholders, and the chart performance has hurt many including myself. I actually think this level of investment should have to be communicated to the market. Self driving cars or not, telematics is going to continue to be big business. The products that TRAK have from simple plug in devices through to the yet-to-be-release high end units incorporating cameras and ADAS like technology are going to be great. They also have the fleet routing technology which will be used to save fuel, etc etc. So I don't think there is a risk of others coming in to take away market share as there is plenty to go round and TRAK do now have a range of products that are second to none. If I was coming at this share today I'd be really happy. But I'm looking at it with over a 50% loss and am feeling stupid that I let myself think that a management team who had shown they were happily aquisitive would consolidate for a bit and try and generate some shareholder return. | sheep_herder |
