24/9/2012 15:00 | Taking the cash on hand out of the equation, how much are they offering? | neilrr
24/9/2012 11:29 | Offer lapses 2nd October next week. I believe next min offer is 24.2p | dealer dan
23/9/2012 12:36 | Suspect we'll get a response from Mayfair early next week. Done deal in my eyes. Craven will push them up a bit, but my bet wouldn't be by much. 25p grossly undervalues TMW, but doubt we'll get much more. Hope I'm proved wrong. Tehno | techno20
23/9/2012 12:02 | I'm still here - hoping to hear from someone who has some concrete news on what a new offer/counter offer would be. | yesrupnel
23/9/2012 11:47 | Anyone? Hello | algernon2
14/9/2012 11:34 | Todays anouncement would have been a prudent moment to confirm the return of capital to shareholders IF they win Matchbet case. This would have anchored P.I far better, after all this WAS previously stated intention. £15m worth 6.7p a share alone ! | dealer dan
14/9/2012 10:38 | In theory its possible that another bidder would come along - but I'm not sure they would have the appetite for a fight if Mayfair have 46% of shares sewn up already. | yesrupnel
14/9/2012 09:24 | yesrupnel, you are probaby right. What a scam this has been.Todays rejection is at best probably only a token gesture delaying the inevitable. Crooked game imo. | fairenough11
14/9/2012 09:23 | From Dealer Dan post The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. 13,570,600 6.02% Leo Fund Managers Limited 13,525,000 6.00% GAM International Management Limited 11,035,034 4.89% Aviva Investors Global Services Limited 11,229,009 4.98% Herald Investment Management Limited 12,716,700 5.64% Mayfair + H 46.00% PI Net Thurs & Fri B 550,000 .02% Updated as at 21 June 2012 Therefore I reckon P.I Has to be circa 25.00% | yesrupnel
14/9/2012 09:21 | If they already have 46% of the shares in the bag - would they have to double /triple their 22p offer to get the remaining 4% - or would it need much less that that - my initial view is that they would not have to increase it much - say 10% to get another corporate shareholder on board. Remember, they do not need us small PIs as we don't account for a large percentage of the shares. | yesrupnel
14/9/2012 09:02 | 29p? Try 50/60p and they may have a chance. | fairenough11
14/9/2012 08:38 | I had assumed the takeover was going through. Mindyou it is close with 46% already agreed so it wouldn't take much for a smaller corporate holder to join in with Mayfair and it could still happen at 22p. What do people think Will Mayfair up its price - say another 10% to 24p to get 5% extra share? Will Mayfair walk away - I think unlikely? Will Mayfair up its price - say 30% to 29p and get 75% shareholders on board? Any thoughts? | yesrupnel
14/9/2012 08:05 | SAY NO TO JO !! late but great | dealer dan
14/9/2012 07:37 | Interesting day if the price moves up today would feel a new offer will be announced. | dealit
14/9/2012 07:30 | rejected by independent directors--nice one. | fairenough11
14/9/2012 07:24 | Well I am glad to say offer rejected, I wonder where the pressure came from maybe Investec. | dealit
13/9/2012 13:52 | Cravens in charge. Anythings believable imo. What a fiasco from the halcion days when Alphameric(as they were then) had just taken over Pennine Retail and Microskill as the share price soared over £5 a share. What a meal ticket the directors have had and they couldn't even make a no competition Epos work, but still kept drawing their high wages. Now they have another no brainer in Turf Tv and they are giving it away. Criminal imo. | fairenough11
13/9/2012 13:43 | Just got the formal offer document and acceptance form. I really can't believe that the BOD have remained silent all of this time. They should have either recommended acceptance or rejection - quite unbelievable. F.W.I.T. I will not accept. | wywcu1
12/9/2012 10:18 | It is a done deal. face the facts | trentendboy
12/9/2012 09:19 | Agree DD, the fat lady has not got on the stage yet. | wywcu1
12/9/2012 08:38 | No its not all over - there are three weeks before shareholders must decide by 2nd October by which time TMW Bod recommendation will be out. There is a long way to go yet. Who gives a .... about DCD shares they will be free in Kelloggs cornflakes before long !! Doom & gloom merchants are rife on this site to say nothing of above constant negative drivvel.... | dealer dan
12/9/2012 08:09 | Its all over then, 22p it is, and they get DCD Media for free. | cgod
11/9/2012 15:21 | The "city" seem pretty convinced this will go through at 22p otherwise it would be a little over by now. No white knight on the horizon. It would be disgraceful though but impressive timing by the purchasers - you have to admire their ability to get prime assets on the cheap. The DCD fiasco fatally weakened Timeweave. That deal should be carefully looked at. | trentendboy
11/9/2012 13:40 | OK Guys, got the blurb from Mayfair today, says not a lot more than their original RNS except (most important in my view) is that the Offer Document and Form of Acceptance will be dispatched to shareholders by 3rd Oct. This should allow the BOD sufficient time to give a strong rebuttal Let's wait and see how they respond. In my view a reasonable value should be nearer 40p. | wywcu1 |
