Just (re) signed up to a 18 month broadband/TV/phone package with TALK this morning. Best value on the market by a mile. I also have a mobile SIM only contract with them.

Macquarie see c 35% UPSIDE to tady's 216p price.

Shorts cannot keep TALK down forever.If we get good results and a maintained dividend which should be confirmed,then we should get a further rise we all deserve, to where TALK should be traded,and not around £2.

Declared shorts.

Eminence Capital increased their short in a relatively big way on 4th October, from 2.10% to 2.28%.

So encouraging (for the longs) to see that the share price actually went up on that day.

A police investigation of the data theft is still going on.
In May, TalkTalk revealed that the attack had cost it £42m and that 101,000 subscribers had left in the aftermath of the attack.

The firm said at the time of the attack that it appeared to be an attempt to extort money.

Six people, all under 21 years old, have been arrested as part of the police investigation.

Their last PRICE TARGET of 300p as at 13th. Sept would seem to be unchanged.

Barclays see a massive 75% UPSIDE from today's price.

Barclays reiterate their overweight view and 350p target this morning....a mere 72% improvement on last nights closing price and 233% higher than Haitong target of 150p. They cannot both be right.

Ok thanks for replying guys, I'm with talk talk, I phoned customer service they're saying my download speed is slow because I'm 5 miles away from the exchange,.really poor I need to get a deal for fibre, my Internet is only downloading at 155kb/sI get a sneaky feeling they're trying to cut my usage by putting a cap on the speed, because I'm on totally unlimited?

Mine's normal at 37Mb today, fibre but a long way from the exchange.

(Unless you're in York, the infrastructure is Bts, so you get the same speed whichever isp you use).

(i'm wondering if my internet speed tests are limited by my PC - I get about the same speed on my pc whether or not full hd is coming down the net to the tv and 3 or 4 laptops on the wifi).

Seems ridiculous to me that that could happen here. If they try (by having institutional backup for example), then i'd expect some serious interest to be flushed out. It's now massively undervalued imv - should be around 450p by my estimate, but for some reason it hasn't caught investors attention since the hack. I hope we can keep independent until the next results, when the cap will rise a lot imv.

Lots of chatter in the papers today suggesting it could be subject to a reverse t/o by an unlisted Telco looking for scale in the UK.
