Following recent announcements, we are getting a clearer picture of who the major holders are. I hope the annual report will reveal the whole picture.

Yes disappointing arja but i'm looking at the chart pattern from Jan-Jul 09 above and wondering whether we may see a repeat here? These things do often have a habit of repeating themselves. Anyway i reckon vthis is undervalued, has missed the recent resources rally and due a decent bounce. Record production levels recently achieved, further positive news flow very likely, i also think a re-mergence of possible bid interest is an outside bonus, platinum price has retreated over past week but still in up trend and demand forecast to rise this year - and as noted above Johnson Matthey widely tipped for 2011 to relfect that. Rand has dropped back from it's recent high against the dollar, will it devalue further this year?

So given those rather random thoughts(!) i'm still feeling postive we may get some decent upward traction early this year unless wider markets cool or drop significantly.

The Daily Express tipped Johnson Matthey for 2011. I see the p.o.p. continues to power ahead. I should have acted on the recent gut feeling I had, but I must not complain, I am still fortunate to be holding a comfortable amount of SLV shares.

a very resilient p.f.p, augurs well for 2011,when an increase in demand in conjunction with several projects coming online should see the share price start to motor. In the lower half of my top 10 picks for 2011.

A steady tick up in the share price on the back of buyers moving in; whilst the p.o.p. has shown a steady rise.

At $1752, the spot price for platinum is currently circa $220 above the average for 2010. As demand increases,the average for 2011 could hit $1800.

I will hang on too but feel rather concerned . AQP is a platinum stock too but not perfornming recently and glad I got out of that one some time ago.

Lots of news coming in 2011. The share price has been a drag, but I'm holding on to this one to double my money by 2012, by which time the demand for platinum shoud be racing away with the implementation of new EU regs on heavy diesel truck catalysts.
