29/10/2010 16:07 | Good Afternoon Corrientes, now lets break that down shall we. As I invest disproportionaly in SA and ASX now because the returns in my view are better and the addition of making 8% on currency is also enjoyable. So if SA is a "no no" why is there an increased investment in South Africa? From all the major funds? Yes you pick one and I'll show you they're increasing "NOT" as you infer decreasing BoAML (Bank of America Merrill Lynch), IMS Group (Owner of International Mineral Resources Group), HSBC, BOS (Bank of Scotland) via syndicated loans, shall I go on? This of course doesn't imply SLV will fire off any time soon, but for such a share consolidating it's growth it's certainly got potential. Yes, there are gains elsewhere without a doubt, I've made near 40% in two days on ALO (Alecto Energy) so alas, SLV can just bubble along in the bank ground. Perhaps there's a lesson that patience can or cannot be rewarded, but likewise "statements" are generally not backed up, are they, ever in fact. Luck isn't required where book work is complete and the company is debt free, cash flow positive and at the point of an increase month on month with production. Thus, if you with your flippant comment about "so much more to be gained elsewhere" there is indeed but also so much more to be lost! Many thanks for not actually substantiating anything, you will note I am quite specific about the finances, and to make sure the comment is on topic, I've actually included a very good link about finances and a partner for SLV in the above list of finance houses. So I await your analysis of SA as a no go area but I wont hold my breath. Just some thoughts, Now lets look at the SA Government and their most recent policies which have clearly focused on fiscal and monetary discipline to avoid being impacted like other countries. Inflation should actually be more consistent but the main points that attract investments are the "low budget deficits" and a currency partially underpinned by commodities. Now you're thinking what does that mean for a UK investor wanting healthy returns, well I suggest you read the "Industrial Policy Action Plan for South Africa." Some very good benefits for investors there but I wont outline them as I'm "sure" you are fully aware of each benefit, especially for mining and development. One aspect certainly worth consideration is the "tax benefits of setting up or opoerating out of SA, which certainly don't take a myopic view like yourself, more encouraging long-term investment" Yes there's certain complexities like the South Africa Companies Act 2008 | fjp73
29/10/2010 15:49 | The Lannex dam should be finished by end of year allowing production at the new site to be greatly increased. have added another 4k @ 50.25p. | azalea
29/10/2010 14:54 | I guess todays RNS was already in the price. I'm surprised, but still happy with my top up this morning. The steady rise north will continue I'm sure. | soggy
29/10/2010 14:38 | south africa a no no? LOL So where does one get platinum from? | turbotrader2
29/10/2010 14:13 | A little bit sensitive with the supersilliousness FJP73. Problem here is that South Africa is a no-no at the moment, but unfortunatley that moment could last a long time, and there's so much more to be gained elsewhere. Bye bye.Best of luck. | corrientes
29/10/2010 13:25 | My purchase of 10k at 50:25p shows as a sell. | michaeld
29/10/2010 12:39 | Corrientes, good afternoon. You clearly aren't eating enough then. potential takes a long time to be spotted in most companies and rises are a long way behind production increase curves as well. Or are you now telling me this is different. So a False Dawn was being able to trade/spreadbet long to 70 pence and down some? Damn, I'm doing something wrong then. If it's not your bag, not to worry, that's the positives of having a diverse portfolio and intra-trading whilst holding long. Yes, the days of having your cake and eating it are here! Thank you so much for your informative post, disappointing really for such a long time user of ADVFN. | fjp73
29/10/2010 11:13 | In the last year, this company must have had more false dawns than I've had hot dinners if you believe what you read on these threads. | corrientes
29/10/2010 11:12 | Good Morning, Nice set of accounts, with an improved quarter result by a massive 137 ounces :-) to 8,758 ounces for the previous quarter, seems the the refinery recorrected 137 ounces. It happens all the time, I was only hoovering my car out and found 3.88K of platinum in the boot, seems I'd forgotten to put it there lmao. Will read in more detail when I have time: Overall, with a healthy cash balance, a forward development plan which can be achieved without the need for dilution. It's looking like some good times ahead. TurboTrader, I am sorry that your expectations are not being met with the performance of share price However, the market rewards the patience. What were you expecting from the results? They have updated quarter on quarter and these accounts merely ratify those updates. When Lannex comes online, you should notice and increase in the share price ATB Fraser | fjp73
29/10/2010 10:57 | why sooner? | turbotrader2
29/10/2010 10:51 | They say patience is a virtue and you certainly need it with this share!--I am however confident that we will see a rally in the very near future and would hope to see the shares over 60p in next month or so- or maybe even sooner_ and then progress steadily upwards to 90p and beyond in first quarter next year--LOL--very cheap BUY at these levels !! | blueyes2
29/10/2010 09:15 | soggy For some, desperate times require desperate measures. 2011 will see the start of of a significant re-rating in the share price on the back of a very notable increase in production. | azalea
29/10/2010 09:14 | does someone have the email address for Terence McConnachie | turbotrader2
29/10/2010 08:24 | How odd..a little tick down. I'd be surprised if peeps were disappointed with that RNS, can't imagine that there are many who feel they need to bail out. I'm sure there are more savvy investors out there who realise that SLV is now back on track to just keep growing. I don't expect any whoosh, but I'm pretty confident that we'll see this steady recovery just keep on going and going. Come back next year, and see where we're at! It ain't gonna be anywhere near the 50p mark, I suspect. | soggy
29/10/2010 08:02 | After this morning's update, I am convinced this company is going places and and have added 4k @ 51.75p. | azalea
29/10/2010 08:01 | Nice results, and i've just bought some more... | soggy

29/10/2010 07:52 | nice results | turbotrader2
28/10/2010 12:12 | TurboTrader, good afternoon. (ATB is All The Best, my name is Fraser lol). Results pretty much along the lines of the quarterly updates, perhaps due tomorrow as SLV said on or about 28th October? I envisage more detail about the ramp up of production and progress towards Everest North (EN). Could EN be completed sooner than the the forecasted 2013? Although only 24 months away, I think it's in everyone's interest to forcus on completing quicker. ATB Fraser | fjp73
28/10/2010 12:05 | what are you expecting from results ATB? | turbotrader2
28/10/2010 10:47 | Good Morning TurboTrader, Yes all quiet on the Western Front, just relaxing and letting the company do it's thing. Doesn't pay to micro manage it's not good for the mental health :-). Have you returned your voting forms ideally in favour of all motions or proxy them? If not could everyone return their forms ASAP for the meetings on the 23rd and 30th November. Don't just say yes, do it :-). ATB Fraser | fjp73
28/10/2010 08:14 | everyone quiet? | turbotrader2
27/10/2010 07:44 | hopefully volume will continue today up and to the results | turbotrader2 |
