23/8/2011 10:40 | AAU still heading higher. Core holding plus profits from exercised warrants worth £1.3m. | zedder
19/8/2011 15:26 | Someone had to pay a premium (@14.25p) for 100k of shares. I'd been thinking the discount to NAV was getting pretty large (certainly on my spreadsheet) so I'm not surprised. | zedder
16/8/2011 21:30 | Looks like they really like RRR, believing it to be seriously undervalued. Wonder if any of the Sheba proceeds will be finding their way there? | on target
16/8/2011 17:18 | Rowan seems to be making a pitch for a serious revaluation of the shares after recent events amongst the holdings. The cash input might warrant a special divi? | dennis russell
25/7/2011 15:42 | I'm playing musical chairs between MIRL and SVE again. Sold 12500 SVE at 16.55p on 5th May (held from 17th March at 14p, so 16%), which I put into 2700 MIRL on 6th May which I've just sold at 84.05p (8%). Theory was to reinvest the above proceeds plus the Divi from my other 37500 SVE, by buying 16000 SVE at between 14.5p and 15.0p; the deal executed at 13.85p though! Added bonus is that I've avoided the inactivity fee in my Barclays MarketMaster account. | zedder
15/7/2011 16:19 | cey going up.Sheba proceeds going up accordingly. | tricia51
14/7/2011 07:58 | When asked about the mining shares specifically Embry had this to say, "Well they haven't moved up a lot with gold and silver, I mean they've been sort of wallowing a bit. We're not talking about a trillion dollars worth of paper (total value of all mining companies), and consequently if money decides it has to come into this space, it's going to be like internet stocks in the '90's except they (mining stocks) are going to have real fundamentals." | maxbubble
12/7/2011 10:19 | aha the algarve, home of comedy. how they all laughed. star. without the vest. brilliant. comedy gold. | brando69
12/7/2011 10:09 | Maxbubble 11 Jul'11 - 19:34 - 905 of 906 Beginning to think you work at News International since you know where i'm based , phone hacking springs to mind ! FYI trying encourage some of my well heeled neighbours Quinta do Lago acquire SVE stock , speaking with my doubles partner at jim stewart tennis academy who tells me met Bruce when doing business in london ! very impressed, also Denis O'Brien who owns villa close , didn't apear to know Bruce which thought strange. FYI Christio Ronaldo another active investor owns villa down the road playing tennis at the club last week , advised him should buy some Starvest to which he replied everyone knows i'm a STAR without the Vest !!! v good | jonny wilkinson
12/7/2011 09:20 | Sheba Exploration (UK) plc TIDMSVE Starvest Plc ("Starvest" or "the Company") Sheba Exploration (UK) plc ("Sheba") The Company notes that its investee company Sheba has reached agreement with Centamin Egypt Limited ("Centamin") under which Centamin is making a recommended offer for the entire share capital of Sheba. 11/7/2011 19:34 | Jonny...does the dividend get posted to the villa in Portugal or does Bruce deliver cash to you??? | maxbubble
11/7/2011 18:22 | JW....lol...you have to be in to win. Dividend for holders only. Shareprice might come down to below 10p if divi paid out. Who knows better to be in than out longer term. Usually the big boys follow me a couple of weeks later. | maxbubble
11/7/2011 18:12 | Maxbubble obviously ur close to Bruce , funny price didnt move north once you topped up recently !! | jonny wilkinson
11/7/2011 15:38 | Outsider do you still run the thread?? Any chance of updating the data to reflect the current ongoing takeovers?? | mattboxy
11/7/2011 15:35 | Not sure bones30 - Bruce never tells me...lol. I hope he buys more MIRL as well | maxbubble

11/7/2011 13:27 | mms sitting on a wad of stock they are happy to part with at a discount. but when that goes it will scoot | brando69
11/7/2011 09:53 | I just bought 25k this morning at 13.22p. That earlier 10k wasn't a sell Max. | lr2
11/7/2011 09:35 | I must say I cant blame Bruce for buying more Regency Mines. I think this is going to be a monster of an investment for Starvest. I think it could be worth a £1 a share to the company in coming years | maxbubble
11/7/2011 09:28 | Pity that poor sod that sold 10k this am - i suppose they wouldnt have known about the sheba takeover. Starvest need to update the mkt better on news like this. It is in the accounts that this is a 20% shareholding for the company and it is very relevant. An RNS should be issued immediately in my view. | maxbubble
11/7/2011 09:22 | its a pity Bruce let the 20m warrants lapse - must have had no cash at the time? | maxbubble
11/7/2011 09:13 | mm's always quick to bring down price on the whiff of bad news - never able it seems to want good news to raise price - one wonders | maxbubble
11/7/2011 09:12 | approx 2/5s of market cap accounted for by belmore and sheba windfalls | brando69
11/7/2011 08:55 | The divi is getting bigger by the day Brando...lol. I think an RNS is needed due to the value of this transaction it is 25% of the mkt cap | maxbubble
11/7/2011 08:52 | so sheba adds another £1.2m to the pot before tax and costs | brando69 |
