rose_by_another_name: Alan speaks for everyone, in his mind. It seems to me that there is a delay between any big movement in the GGP share price and its reflection in the SVE price. That advance warning was one of the reasons I shifted my interest to SVE. Of course the discount to NAV is the main reason. GGP has a smaller spread, which is of interest to those who trade in and out, but SVE is a better way to buy into GGP by any other measure.
jerseymike: 82m or thereabouts I think as any material sale would need to be announced. Rose you do not own or control any GGP shares, you have an indirect interest in GGP, hence the SVE share price to NAV.
rose_by_another_name: Greatland has dropped down to the SVE price.
zedder: AAU - very well run company. They have been paying off a loan that got the initial mine in Turkey up and running. I believe that loan has either just been or is about to be paid off completely. That will make them cash rich going forward although they seem to be about to about to repeat the process with a second mine. Can easily see the share price getting to 6p+ eventually. CORA - SVE participated in a placing in September 2019 where they raised £1.95m at 7p/share. There was a previous raising of £1.35m at 3.85p/share which they also participated in. They first invested when they took shares when CORA IPO'd at 16.5p/share in October 2017. So far not a great investment but they obviously see potential. GGP has certainly been a slow burner so hopefully the same will happen with CORA. ORCP - With a major economic downturn hitting the world this year, can't see this one doing much.
zedder: Because the Directors took shares in lieu of fees for the last year (Qs 2, 3 and 4 of last year plus Q1 of this year). They took them at a strike price of 4.25p when it would not have been unreasonable for it to have been at say 3p if you look at the share price average over that period.

zedder: Given that the GGP holding can be confirmed, my attitude is that for every SVE share you buy, as you are effectively getting 1.5 GGP shares, you are getting those shares cheaper than buying direct and everything else in the portfolio is thrown in for free!
jerseymike: GGP now nearly 3p per SVE share. SVE looking like a bargain but without the necessary paperwork in place, buying for most is not possible. Not sure if that's good or bad for existing holders.
stevieweebie2: Zedder I stopped directly investing in miners as ive seen fortunes lost so I Hold 100,000 in GPM and 100,000 in SVE, including some phyical this amounts to my hedge against a market collaps in equities including my pension. I expect the oprice of gold to move higher and this will slowly work its way into the NAV of the holdings within SVE and translate into a higher share price IMHO.
zedder: Nice £120k top up of the cash.
