15/12/2010 09:32 | Debt levels still are high there is no argument around it, but with the lines of credit extended until early 2013 and with all divisions cash flow positive covering interest cost there is an option value here, particularly considering the operational gearing and the fact that not too long ago this company was very profitable and paying a dividend. The one factor why I have not increased exposure even more is lack of director buying. I have discussed this with company who stated that recent options trade indicated director confidence in the future of the company. These purchases of CEO and Chairman however were too small in my view to create any excitement, which I told company as well. Ultimately if all fails I think they could still sell the business for a multiple of what it is worth today. | pedro57

15/12/2010 09:14 | Hi Pedro. I cut a loss and got out of Spmg because the debt was not really coming down at all, infact it's way too high and that means a high risk of a suspension in this gloomy climate. Good to see knowing call me a ramper then try to push Spmg on the pump and dump thread with 10-12 mil of debt lol I hope it comes good for you but i sleep easier knowing i dont hold these now. | scott84
15/12/2010 08:50 | Close to 1% of the shares outstanding bought in less than one hour today, makes me wish I would have topped up more when you were able to have these below 1p. | pedro57

10/12/2010 10:52 | Chaps, I do find it odd that £50k + pcm of cash is being generated during this debt loan holiday period & despite that the co. is priced as bust, even compared to six months ago.?? luchan. | luchan
08/12/2010 23:43 | I have spoken to the company and they have told me that there was an actual tax cost involved to receive the options and keep them so both the MD and chairman have actually increased their ownership in the company. The issue is that whereas purchase is a small positive the magnitude is too small to really get the market interested or excited. I still see these shares as significantly undervalued given that loans have been extended until early 2013 and now company is cash flow positive after paying debt so it can reduce financial gearing. Ultimately however market will want to see gearing come down more and finally see one set of results that indicates significant improvement in profitability. Company is now at a fraction to what it once was worth given heavy selling of institutionals and in my view considerably undervalued. | pedro57
07/12/2010 08:17 | I don't think the reduction in pagination on three days of the week will have helped sales, the current bad weather will certainly be affecting sales. The MD didn't pay for his options what had he done to warrant them? Plenty to be concerned about here. | cartagena2
03/12/2010 11:56 | Well they have taken their options so presumably see a future in the company. | knowing
03/12/2010 11:45 | The price would probably double on some director share purchases . They are a hopeless bunch. | bryproj
02/12/2010 16:37 | SPMG is currently trading at a bombed-out valuation, which virtually ignores that the underlying business has been stabilised and the fact that the different business units are profitable and cash generative. The banks have extended their loans until early 2013, which shows that there is confidence of a turnaround. The main issue is that as long as management does not communicate more positive news it will not re-rate to a higher level. What has been surprising to me is that share price has drifted down despite some sizeable purchase of shares over the past weeks and months. | pedro57
02/12/2010 13:06 | Chaps, priced for going bust but with the debt payments for six months so SPMG could put some cash in the bank & should have 400k in the bank by now after the 50k monthly repayments were frozen. IMHO. if the bank agreed to this they (the bank) must be comfortable that SPMG can produce enough cash going forward to survive and repay debt in the long term. I also seems apparent from the interims that cash generated in this period will be used to buy and furnish some studio facilities whilst I assume they must currently hire at a premium. I assume when these facilities are working the cash saved will help cash generatin due to cost savings. I just wonder what they are currently paying 5-6k per month? luchan. | luchan

24/11/2010 09:18 | 2.4 million shares equals 24,000 pounds approx so in value terms pretty insignificant but it almost certainly must be institutions selling if you look above as 2.9m is over 3% so must be notified. On the other hand many private investors would deal in 24k pounds value so hard to say who bought them. | smicker
23/11/2010 11:44 | Does anybody have a view what the 2.4m shares relate to that were traded at ask today? Similar to last week a lot of volume has gone through without related reaction on share price? Is this a trade between institutional investors, i.e. one selling another buying? Thank you for your help! | pedro57
17/11/2010 14:13 | There has been an extraordinary volume of shares traded today, but with no related price action. Can anybody read something into the trades that have gone through today and why we have not seen an impact on the share price? Thank you for your help! | pedro57 |
