27/3/2017 20:28 | Cash has stated a number of times, our main target is in the Abu Madi for gas but if you look at the diagram you will see a potential gas deposit in the Kafr El Sheikh, we will have to pass this to get to Abu Madi. SDX can potentially find gas this week. GLA | neo26
27/3/2017 14:23 | Yeah, I think on balance you are right. Although they did say they would keep shareholders up to date on drilling so there is an outside chance they may report something. | deltrotter
27/3/2017 14:18 | I think they may just drill through and report at TD what logs are indicating, prior to flowtesting (in the event of a discovery of course). Cash | cashandcard
27/3/2017 14:15 | I am waiting for hur in order to recycle into sdx and back into trin. Great share SDX! Hope it does not run away. | odvod
27/3/2017 14:13 | Welcome HD - good buying point on the chart IMO and a cracking buy longer term in view of the value. Cash - whaddyareckon to seeing some results from the shallower gas zone in the next week? | deltrotter
27/3/2017 14:05 | hd, Welcome. Looking forward to the results in the next few weeks. Cash | cashandcard
27/3/2017 14:03 | Toe in the water, cash, thanks. | hiddendepths
27/3/2017 13:37 | tgg, Yes, of course, Zohr is not in the Abu-Madi Baltim trend, its deeper water. However, lots of money is being ploughed into the area and its becoming a large gas basin, of international significance (LNG). both offshore and the Nile Delta will benefit from that. Cash | cashandcard
27/3/2017 13:29 | Cash, Zohr has no relevance to the success or otherwise of drilling at south Disouq. | thegreatgeraldo
27/3/2017 13:26 | CashI'm really looking forward to sd-1 results as these can be transformational for the company.A hit of either oil or gas then its party time, just imagine they hit both..:-) | neo26
27/3/2017 13:19 | tgg, Welcome. Great to have other HUR holders here aswell. Zohr (22-30tcf) demonstrates the importance of offshore Egypt and Nile Delta, in which SDX are fortunate to have captured the southerly extent of a major gas condensate play. As Egyptian exploration leads to more and more discoveries, one can see why majors are so excited by it - its southern-Med and on Europes doorstep. Perfect for energy hungry LNG market, plus diversifies supply away from Russia. SDX are in a very fortunate position. The key to SDX's success like Hurricane is the management. At Hurricane, its about one man going after one huge play. Here at SDX, the team consists of those who have experience in the Nile Delta successfully producing 200mmscfpd at the El Wastani field, plus those who are familiar with western desert oil zones. 27/3/2017 13:12 | We are only 5km-10km away from Mahala City, we should reap some rewards if its trues.Considering like you say the zohr gas sits between Egypt and Cyprus..Interesting times, PW is always blushing when he talks about sd-1, big players wanted action when new 3d came in even though we already had partner..Strong buy. | neo26
27/3/2017 13:05 | Zohr is huge, it sits midway between Egypt & Cyprus. | thegreatgeraldo
27/3/2017 12:56 | neo, Absolutely. With the political and financial situation in Egypt improving everyday, I think SDX will thrive on a discovery. Success with the drillbit will make that 25-30kboepd production target become a realistic one. Cash | cashandcard
27/3/2017 12:53 | I think the zohr find was massive in egypt, with rumours of another possible massive find near mahala city the resovoir might join our license area in North East. I think these are interesting times... | neo26
27/3/2017 12:32 | A quick summary of the 2017 programme taken from the annual report: NW GEMSA EGYPT: The 2017 work program comprises a 12 well workover program in the Al Amir SE and Geyad fields. This program is focused on ESP installation and maintenance as well as tubing maintenance to ensure asset integrity and production uptime. MESEDA EGYPT: Following the 2016 operational strategic review of the asset described above (the workover programme), the partners plan to drill two exploration wells, two development wells (pending government approval) and conduct up to six pump replacements and upgrades in existing wells to increase production. A tender for the necessary equipment is currently being conducted and the campaign is expected to begin in Q2 2017. Furthermore, it is planned to expand the central processing facility. This expansion will accommodate the planned increase in production, enabling the central processing facility to handle 20,000 barrels of fluid per day compared to its current operating range of 12,000-14,000 barrels of fluid per day. The facility design work has been completed and long lead time equipment has been ordered. It is anticipated that construction work will begin in Q2 2017 with minimal disruption to existing production. S.DISOUQ EGYPT: In Q1 2017 Site construction was completed, conductor pipe installed, and the drilling rig mobilized to location. It is anticipated that the SD-1X exploration well which spud on March 23, 2017 (note the spud date) is expected to reach TD in mid-late April 2017. This well will satisfy the outstanding work commitments for the initial work program and will test target intervals in the Kafr El Sheikh, Abu Madi, Apollonia, and Abu Roash Formations. The concession has been extended by 6 months to allow the results from the well to be incorporated into the decision to enter into the second exploration phase. SEBOU MOROCCO: SDX Energy is currently planning drilling activities for the second half of 2017 and anticipates drilling three development wells and two appraisal wells in the concession. The three development wells are planned in the Kisiri field and will ensure deliverability to existing customers, allow volumes to start being supplied to new customers and increase overall gas production capacity. The two appraisal wells will test seismic anomalies similar to those present in successful offset wells. All the selected locations are adjacent to existing infrastructure and can be placed on production quickly. LALOA MIMOUNA MOROCCO: SDX Energy anticipates drilling two of the high-graded prospects in the second half of 2017. That's a total of 5 exploration wells, 5 development wells and 2 appraisal wells in Egypt and Morocco during the next 9 months. Update 14.10pm I completely forgot, they put the final cost of the Circle deal as $28.1 million in the annual report. It all helps :) "We are firmly committed to our growth strategy, as was clearly evidenced by the successful acquisition of Circle Oil’s assets. For a consideration of US$28.1 million, SDX acquired total production of 3350 boepd and 2P reserves of 4.69 MMboe, as well as working capital of US$21.5 million excluding deferred income and decommissioning. In addition to increasing our working interest in Egypt’s North West Gemsa Concession to 50%, the Morocco country entry saw us secure a 75% working interest in the Sebou production and Lalla Mimouna exploration concessions." | captain james t kirk

27/3/2017 11:53 | 9tintin, The SD-1X well has multiple targets, gas condensate and oil. The prospect is supported by class 3 AVO response. I think you should consider it, at the very least, go through this presentation; Don't leave it too long, results a few weeks from now. Cash | cashandcard
