03/4/2017 14:25 | For those on the sidelines, Look at the potential in this well: 1) Kafr El Shaikh - prolific and shallow Nile Delta dry gas zone, produces on this trend. Resource not quantified. 2) 400bcf + 16mln Condensate 'Abu-Madi Baltim' Primary target - Prolific gas-condensate play. Some of the SDX team worked on El Wastani field discovery, north of SDX's license onshore Nile Delta, in the days of Centurion Energy (tsx). That field was an Abu-Madi gas-condensate producer that did around 200mscfd of gas at its peak plus thousands in liquids production daily. Centurion were taken over. The SDX guys know this trend very well. 3) Abu-Roash and AEB deep oil zones (upto 100mln bbls). These zones were only noticed when 3D seismic was completed and Cameron Snow, who was previously with Egypt's most successful onshore explorer Apache, noticed these deeper horizons were present and they were 'within closure', were oil to present. AB & AEB are prolific western desert oil producers. SDX's partner IPR produce from AEB in the western desert. A few company-specific metrics; at 28th Feb 2017, SDX had: -$18mln cash -NO DEBT -4,200boepd -12mln bbls (2P) -Plans for upto 9 wells this year (2017!). 7 in Morocco, 4 in Egypt. A mix of exploration and development wells. -Some 12-18 workovers ongoing or planned for NWG/Meseda oilfields. A very busy company it would seem. Cash | cashandcard
03/4/2017 14:11 | I'd say, give or take a few standard operational delays (casing etc?), another week and we are into the business end of the current well. Cash | cashandcard
03/4/2017 14:10 | SD 1 well speculation has not been priced into current price, MMS are fishing..Not long for well results. Sdx and partner spent a lot of money getting the 3d data and big players like Dana, Apache and Eni may have been interested in the block..Its getting closer.. | neo26
03/4/2017 14:10 | I suspect the longer there is no news on the drill, the better the chances of the news being good when it arrives. Fingers crossed that is the case. | saucepan

31/3/2017 22:15 | what really gets my excited is that company were approached by large interested parties who wanted to farm in to the license even though we had a partner. This bodes really well, and should put anyone in a positive with regards to this company. | neo26

31/3/2017 12:09 | Quiet now ... April won't be. Sitting tight since pre circle deal. GLA | flagon
31/3/2017 11:42 | This site (Hydra Captal) has followed Sea Dragon / SDX from the start and made good calls. About 3.5 times free cash flow now. hxxp://hydracapital. SDX Energy (SDX.V) Last week, SDX reported that it had inked a deal to acquire some of Circle Oil's assets in Egypt and Morocco, taking combined pro forma production to 4,700 boepd and reserves to 12 mmboe. The details are laid out in a press release on the company's website that you can link to here. SDX is expected to have 186.9 million shares outstanding after the transaction is completed and the company reports that it successfully gathered US$40 million in share subscriptions to fund the acquisition which is impressive for a relatively unknown junior oil company. The company's numbers suggest "free cash flow" of US$30 million in 2017 and US$40 million in 2018. If you believe those numbers that means SDX's C$120 million market cap (at C$0.64/share) represents ~3x free cash flow. Some companies have looser definitions of free cash flow than others, but these numbers appear to represent operating cash flow in excess of capex (but no mention of G&A and other expenses). SDX appears to be well on its way to executing a regional roll-up strategy as it successfully morphs from a tiny company offering exposure to a big exploration target into something that more resembles a proper regional energy company. That will likely be a welcome transition for a wider audience as the company takes on a less-binary risk profile... and if oil runs, who knows where this could go... | nick2412
31/3/2017 10:57 | Buyers getting onboard. | someuwin
31/3/2017 10:22 | Similar to Hurricane last weekend Some. Then FT on Sunday released an article about huge oil find. Weekend press could pick something up.....if there is anything to pick up that is | pauliewonder
31/3/2017 09:36 | One of the MMs wants you out - they are filling a buy order. Help them out eh? | deltrotter
31/3/2017 09:13 | I think this is one of the cases where you really can say - "I wouldn't want to be out of these over the weekend". | someuwin
30/3/2017 12:28 | tgg, Explains why PW passed on it. The huge cost alone is enough of a reason. The Mahdia discovery well suffered mud losses and requires further wells to prove OIP/recoverable numbers. Cash | cashandcard
30/3/2017 12:16 | Cash, Mahdia was inconclusive & hugely over budget - played it's part in bringing Circle down. | thegreatgeraldo
30/3/2017 11:53 | It would be interesting what they do will they inform us of the progress or tell us at the end. | neo26 |
