19/10/2016 15:33 | I think they are being careful not to enthuse in view of the current Brexit uncertainties. These should not impact them directly - i.e. in terms of competition or costs - but may affect current and potential customers. It still looks good value and I have added today, so not complaining about any delay in a positive share price response which could well follow in coming weeks (subject to benign market background). | boadicea
19/10/2016 15:32 | I was looking to get back in on these today and i thought the results were good. The market has not been impressed so far, i wonder whether the feeling is that if the economy takes a downturn less will be spent on IT may hits future sales/profits. The chart has been looking ugly since August! Stuck these on the watchlist and will see if there is an upturn in the share price | 1861andy
19/10/2016 14:33 | All very strange I think I will give up trying to understand the market after thisThe only thing I have noticed is softcat shares normally take a few days to react after good news Let's see where we are next week Maybe a more positive update on business would have helped rather than using the word satisfactory and saying how hard it is to compete in the market | shareholder7
19/10/2016 14:04 | heading northwards, added | tattooed93
19/10/2016 11:58 | Computacenter reported a 5% fall in UK revenue recently and 2.8% rise overall. Today they are up 7% as they are upgraded to Buy from Neutral by UBS. Softcat report an overall 12.8% growth in revenue, and the share price is currently down 1%. I give up. | smokybenchod

19/10/2016 10:19 | lol @larva | smokybenchod
19/10/2016 09:56 | larva - Read the figures and Note 9 - Apology due to smoky , I think! FMR group have recently sold a net 599132 shares. In doing so one of the group, FMR Co., Inc. fell from 5.03% to 4.89% triggering the RNS. The 8.1% is a red herring in this context. | boadicea
19/10/2016 09:46 | They comment on a one off procurement saving of £3.4mI don't think it's adjusted our in the adjusted numbersSo recurring growth not as good as shown? | nfs
19/10/2016 09:33 | FMR is buying you creitin, u stupid chod went from 5% to 8% | larva
19/10/2016 09:22 | FMR may be selling more holding the share price back? | smokybenchod
19/10/2016 09:16 | Bought in earlier at 298 Thought it might fly because of the special dividend Happy that the price was muted. Once analysts digest maybe the price will rise | gswredland
19/10/2016 09:04 | The special dividend says it all Imo. I'm in. | invisage
19/10/2016 09:03 | well positioned | tattooed93
19/10/2016 08:33 | The outlook sounds fine. 17p in dividends, net cash, plenty of growth and a solid track record --> all priced at about 15x earnings. | sphere25
19/10/2016 08:18 | Surprised at response..thought it might fly...satisfactory bit and uncertain in statement doesn't help | gswredland
19/10/2016 08:13 | Surely a great RNS. And no bad surprises in relation to the recent special drift. IMHO. | mfhmfh
19/10/2016 08:01 | esther1975, did you read the line afterwards? "..the Board believes the Company is well placed to grow its market share in 2017 and it will maintain its focus on delivering profitable growth and strong cash conversion." I make the first 10 weeks in FY17 "satisfactory" in that context, which is fine by me. To put these results into context, Computacenter reported a 5% slow down in UK sales, and Softcat not only grew, by grew revenue by 12.8%! Expecting a rerating on these results. | smokybenchod
19/10/2016 07:46 | As a result, we are delighted to be recommending a special dividend of 14.2p per share, on top of a final dividend of 3.6p per share | igoe104
19/10/2016 07:43 | Excellent stuff, how many FTSE 250 companies are growing over 17% ? | igoe104
19/10/2016 07:22 | Very pleased. Nice little dividend tooFingers crossed the markets responds accordingly and the share price adjusts accordingly! | maverick82
19/10/2016 07:12 | "In the aftermath of the referendum, we have seen no obvious impact on trading in what remains a tough and fiercely competitive market. For many years we have demonstrated our ability to grow and gain market share in that environment and we look forward to the road ahead with confidence." | 11023154
19/10/2016 07:08 | I tend to look at the outlook statement as markets are forward thinking. Trading in the 1st ten weeks has been 'satisfactory'. Make of that what you will. | esther1975
19/10/2016 07:08 | Fantastic results, over the moon. Speaking of the moon watch the share price reach the moon now! | theapplefreak |
