12/2/2012 22:06 | Hope AVAP does well for you, davydoo | saucepan
12/2/2012 18:56 | Im the same Saucepan, I keep an eye on it mainly because I have an investment in AVAP, which is seeing a more immediate benefit from the Virgin tie up than I think SKYW is. But I am a little more tempted by the lack of attention the stock is getting lately. | davydoo
12/2/2012 16:21 | I have not been in SKYW for a good while, but retain it on my radar and occasionally look in on the thread. Forward fundamentals (low P/E and PEG) have been very good for at least a year or two to my certain knowledge. However, I increasingly feel SKYW keeps performing as a "jam tomorrow" story and "tomorrow" keeps get putting back. I have to admit I am not tempted back in. At one time, chart momentum was in the stock's favour, but that seems to have gone as well at present. | saucepan
12/2/2012 13:49 | At first sight disappointing but the incoming planes on the new deal and the strength of the resources economy are helping the forward momentum I think | nfs

14/10/2011 09:42 | Skywest wins 'International Company of 2011' at the AIM Awards Skywest, the Western Australia's leading regional airline, has been named the International Company of the Year at the prestigious AIM Awards 2011. Hosted at Old Billingsgate Market last night, in its 16th year, the AIM Awards honoured quoted companies and entrepreneurs who have harnessed AIM to help them fulfil their ambition and growth potential in the last twelve months. The 'International Company of the Year' Award recognised Skywest's achievements in continuing its strong growth as an international business. As part of the ongoing strategy, Skywest signed a 10 year strategic partnership with Virgin Australia earlier this year which will see it provide and operate a further 18 aircraft on existing and new routes. Commenting on the award, Jeff Chatfield, Executive Chairman of Skywest Airlines, said: "We are particularly pleased for Skywest Airlines to win this award, which is a testament to the airline's excellent performance over the past year. In addition to significant growth in the Fly in Fly out market, we are set to benefit from the strategic partnership with Virgin Australia which could potentially double the size of Skywest. "We look forward to another year of significant growth and further expansion, and I hope we will achieve many more accolades in the near future." | standish11
