26/11/2009 16:08 | I dont know much about market makers. Would a market maker in the UK trade with a market maker in Aus, in order to give them stock ahead of the ASX float? As no new shares are being issued, how else would an Australian buy shares on the opening morning of trading with the LSE closed? | davydoo
26/11/2009 08:48 | In the absence of an rns and the price shown for the transaction it looks like market maker to market maker. If the shares had ben 'dumped' the price would have tanked, it has actually gone up as we speak. | atlantic1953
26/11/2009 08:03 | WTF, no RNS on the 12 million shares dumped last night? | onbendedkneees
26/11/2009 05:20 | surely a RNS this morning. UBS perhaps getting rid of its holdings. | wozelbeak
25/11/2009 22:30 | Surely not a buy at that price. | atlantic1953
18/11/2009 12:59 | I like the announcement today dividend confirmed at a decent yeild circa 3.68%. I like the fact that the shares will be listed in Ozz soon | atlantic1953
18/11/2009 09:51 | Anybody know the real mkt cap? | ethics_gradient
17/11/2009 18:15 | a good move i would think. takes a hire plane off the runway and begins earning money from day 1. i wonder how old it is? | wozelbeak
16/11/2009 07:44 | Skywest Expands Aircraft Fleet (Skywest Air) TIDMSKYW RNS Number : 5328C Skywest Airlines Limited 16 November 2009 16 NOVEMBER 2009 Skywest, Western Australias largest regional airline, has signed an agreement to purchase an additional Fokker 50 aircraft from a European owner. The acquisition of the aircraft will increase Skywests fleet to 17 aircraft. The aircraft has been inspected by Skywests representatives. The price for the aircraft is USD 2,010,000. The consideration will be met by Skywest over the next 19 months from internal cash flow. Skywest has a desire to improve network reliability and on-time performance. This additional aircraft will bolster the fleet and will potentially lower Skywests ongoing costs for the cross hire of aircraft from other airlines. This additional aircraft will also be used for freight delivery in Western Australia Jeff Chatfield, Executive Chairman of Skywest, commented: "We are satisfied with the terms we achieved for this plane and are pleased that we will be further able to increase reliability and on time performance and add additional freight capacity." --ENDS-- | liarspoker

11/11/2009 17:12 | make that 2.6 million. | lonrho
11/11/2009 16:44 | 2 million gone through. Hopefully that is the end of the overhang ( which is the reason for lack of vertical movement imo Atlantic1953 ). | liarspoker
10/11/2009 21:39 | The share price shows no signs of life despite. 1) Encouraging Results 2) Share buy backs 3) a Possible float on the asx Volatility no thank you some movement skywards yes please. | atlantic1953
10/11/2009 19:28 | The share price probably isn't volatile enough for him. Check out some of the net working capital stocks though. HDT is one - near a 2 month flat line but valued at a 34% discount to net working cap so 'safer' than SKYW. | liarspoker
10/11/2009 18:12 | in what way Atlantic? | wozelbeak

29/10/2009 08:31 | Yep, just over .5% of shares repurchased. Nice one. I prefer buybacks over dividends for a longer term holding such as this. I get taxed at 50% for dividends so buybacks are the best option for me especially when they are made at a good discount to the companies true value. | liarspoker
29/10/2009 07:27 | Great, long over due! | qs9
29/10/2009 06:23 | looks like they are pushing ahead with the share re-purchase. also getting Ernst & Young on board. | wozelbeak
27/10/2009 08:23 | Breakout due today imo. Last 2 trades were done at 10.88p & 10.99p each for less than 10K. | liarspoker
22/10/2009 08:20 | No problems GHF - each to their own. :O) Steg - I previously reffered to HLO & IDS as examples of what low PEG stocks can do. IDS was a mistake and I actually meant to cite HLO & IDH as examples. | liarspoker
21/10/2009 18:05 | Thanks for response Liars. I'm the end I haven't gone ahead with an investment, simply too many variables that the company cannot control. Having said that, GE&CR note out indicates a 32.5p price target and implies earnings of 3.25p next year. Maybe not as bullish as previous indications bur cheap as chips nonetheless....if variables such as currency and oil price are with them. I'm believe you'll do well. Just not for me. Kind regards, GHF | glasshalfull |
