29/3/2011 08:06 | The Telegraph has shocking editing at the moment, ive noticed lots of little errors. The picture behind that audio is a plane from the American Skywest, not the Australian one. | davydoo
28/3/2011 23:03 | Daily Telegraph Questor Questor plus: 'Miners in the sky' Audio: Questor editor Garry White tells Robert Miller about his trip to Australia and how he found an investment opportunity. | philanderer
26/3/2011 07:23 | if your calcs are in the ball park, it will be a well worth while Yield. should see a run back up to the 30p resistance i think. | wozelbeak
24/3/2011 08:08 | Skywest Airlines, the Australian and South East Asia regional airline, is pleased to announce that it has reviewed and enhanced its progressive dividend policy. Skywest is a leading regional airline servicing all major airports and population centres of Western Australia.Skywest's operational base is in Perth, Western Australia with a substantial airline network across the state and beyond, including Melbourne, Darwin and Bali, Indonesia. The Directors may pay dividends when, in their judgment, the financial position of the Company justifies such payment. The Company releases the following updated guidance in relation to the dividend policy: 1) The Company targets a minimum of 25% of net after tax earnings to be paid out as dividends per annum. 2) Announcements of any Company dividend will specify the following: a) The amount of the dividend in SGD, AUD and GBP (the currencies of the Company's stated accounts, sub registers jurisdiction and registers jurisdiction respectively) and method of payment. b) The record and payment dates of the dividend; and c) If there is a deviation from the targeted minimum, a management commentary on that deviation. 3) The announcement of the final dividend on ordinary shares will typically be included in the annual year end results announcement. | onbendedkneees

02/3/2011 00:00 | What are your views on the fact the co are not declaring a div payment? I think they should have put something about this in the results... | ayreonfr
24/2/2011 12:43 | I Thought we might see a little more interest in this today. | onbendedkneees
24/2/2011 07:19 | great set of results toady. | wozelbeak
11/2/2011 14:32 | Ah - so there is the RNS with explnation. Bennelong Asset Management reducing their holding from 18 to 14%. Hopefully that is the end of their selling and they had reasons outside of Skywest for their decision. Encouraging that the price has held up so well and in fact increased. There has been minimal trading to put a dent in that sell so perhaps the shares have found a home which we might hear about later. | gantenbrink
11/2/2011 11:14 | Strange 9 mill trade showed up at 29.00 timed at 19.38 yesterday and reported as a buy although this was the bid price yesterday. However the price has risen fractionally today. With that sort of trade I'd have expected a more dramatic move be it up or down depending on the nature of the trade. | gantenbrink
02/2/2011 05:27 | BUNBURY will not miss out on tourist dollars by the launch of commercial flights from Busselton airport, Mayor David Smith has said. Mayor Smith said the City had backed the push for a regional South West airport and Busselton was the most suitable site. Council studies show Bunbury does not have the space for a commercial airport. Mayor Smith said he did not think the airport, which now carries twice-weekly Skywest flights from Perth, would encourage travellers to skip Bunbury for tourist towns further south. Transport minister Troy Buswell announced the commercial flights last month. Mayor Smith said Bunbury tourism provi-ders would also get a boost as the airport made travelling to the region easier. | wozelbeak

27/1/2011 11:01 | Edging up little by little which is encouraging for a sustained rise rather than rapid movement casuing peaks and troughs. | gantenbrink

27/1/2011 06:00 | Jimbo, i was thinking along the lines of Skywest delivering miners to their workplaces. | wozelbeak
25/1/2011 23:03 | wozelbeak, I no longer hold SKYW BUT, with the majority of their business being conducted in Western Australia - one of the driest and most arid regions on the planet - I would be gobsmacked if they've been impacted by the Queensland floods; Rockhampton being some 2000 - 2500km away from the Northern Territory border with WA. NT sits between WA and Queensland. To place this distance in context, we're talking more than twice the distance between Portsmouth on the South Coast, and Thurso in Northern Scotland, as the crow flies. | jimbo55
25/1/2011 19:40 | lets see how the January figures come out. i wonder if the floods have affected them at all? still a solid bet and paying a div. | wozelbeak
24/1/2011 15:48 | Saw an article about this company in a magazine last week tipping it as "excuse the pun" a potential high flyer for 2011 so I bought a few. I think it was Shares magazine but could explain the rise if a few others read it too. They seemed to reckon it has big potential so here's hoping. | gantenbrink
18/1/2011 19:51 | December figures not the best they have ever released! can anyone throw any light on the slight declines in numbers? May be if J.C ever pops his head in here he can give us his view. woz. | wozelbeak
14/1/2011 11:49 | Yes, the chart is looking very good: It shows the dip from the inevitable profit takers who exited following the news spike and now, with fresh interest, is just starting to make new highs. The dip was also a re-test of the October high: confirming this is now support - if you have any faith in technicals. Arguably, one could not wish for a better set-up. | saucepan
14/1/2011 11:01 | That's a break out to a new high today. CR | cockneyrebel
10/1/2011 08:34 | Turns out its all going to AVAP, great deal for them, i just hadnt looked at their own news release when i got all excited about the SKYW news. | davydoo
10/1/2011 08:28 | well done saucepan. Suggest anyone following this take look at AVAP and CLA, they provide all Skywests existing leases, and could benefit from this line in the statement. 'Skywest will not be exposed to the capital investment of owning the aircraft and will be a service provider and code-share partner' | davydoo |
