10/1/2011 07:47 | Looks like a takeover may well be on the horizon. Virgin Blue not big in regional WA routes and they may fancy a slice of the mining charter business. All IMHO of course. | ethics_gradient
10/1/2011 07:22 | Strategic Alliance with Virgin Blue announced today: hopefully will add further strength - operationally and to the share price. | saucepan
05/1/2011 09:27 | Added some more this morning. | saucepan
02/1/2011 10:45 | Try this link for latest analyst report (24/11/2010): Interesting to note confidence in projecting +140% eps for 2011. | angler
31/12/2010 08:58 | Davydoo: thanks for pointing that out. You are of course correct. I did in fact look at the Skywest Australia reviews, but made a mistake with the link when posting to the thread later in the day. I have now corrected it. | saucepan
30/12/2010 22:42 | Saucepan those reviews are for SkyWest in the US, you can tell by the flight destinations in the reviews. The diffrence is in the capital W. The Australian airline is Skywest. The US airline is SkyWest. | davydoo
30/12/2010 20:24 | I started buying stock in SKYW at 9p and have added until about 20p. I like the fact that they operate in Australia which has avoided the financial mess of the West, they are debt free, profitable and pay an increasing dividend. And it is a very quiet thread so no short term traders. | bonnard
30/12/2010 19:58 | JB: I am sorry, I only have the ShareScope data to go on, so would be as interested as you if anyone else can shed further light. Forecast eps "only" doubles, by the way, from 2.25p to 4.4p. The data may, of course, be inaccurate; but I have no reason to think this is the case. As an additional aside, I happened to be searching for user reviews of an airline today that I am considering travelling on. I took the opportunity to see what the site in question had to say about SkyWest. Pleased to see it gets very good customer satisfaction reviews: (corrected link) | saucepan
30/12/2010 15:29 | Saucepan - Sharescope have the profit increasing from 6.7m to 18.6m next year, doesn`t this seem a huge increase to you? Nearly 3 fold! Not that I`m complaining but this seems a very bullish forecast for a broker IMO. I haven`t researched heavily so would appreciate your (or anyone elses) opinion, TIA! :) | jbarker5555
30/12/2010 10:15 | Hi Folks I joined you long just now, thanks to a heads up from URVNME on the ADVFN Zulu thread. SKYW looks an exciting growth company in the Zulu mode, with no debt. In case of interest, here is a ShareScope snapshot of fundamentals, showing the impressive growth patterns and value to be had - which is what attracted me: It also seems a good time to be buying, technically. To me, it looks like the share price is just starting to move up again after a healthy period of consolidation. Last but not least, it seems I have discovered a quiet ADVFN thread; which is usually a good sign! | saucepan

09/11/2010 15:53 | Some chunky trades gone through today - no doubt worked through the market over the last week or so as the price stepped up. Put through today to look like sells and no doubt spook nervy holders, but I'd bet my bottom dollar they are purchases. | saint or sinner?

26/10/2010 09:03 | I wonder if SKYW have been approached too, hence the rise? | saint or sinner?
22/10/2010 18:47 | I seem to remember from the high oil price days that they built in fuel surcharges to their charter contracts which might still be running now. This is the only news i could find that would support the recent share price gains, especially as australian investors make up an ever increasing proportion | davydoo
22/10/2010 18:34 | GOOD EDGING OF FUEL COSTS? | wozelbeak
21/10/2010 20:53 | Seems odd to me that these continue to climb when the price of oil etc has gone up by about 25% in A$ terms in the last few months... | stegrego
20/10/2010 14:26 | They don't appear to be able to tempt out any sellers, despite increasing the price almost daily. News release might be nice to explain what is going on in the background. | saint or sinner?

07/10/2010 18:54 | Great....just after I sold having held for three years. Still a 52% profit is not too bad I guess, especially having pumped the cash into ANGM with GOLD news expected any day ! | futre |
