You don't know me or my skills from Adam Minerve!
And by the way I do not need to sell my SCO shares to be able to buy my kids some ice-cream!!!
I can actually afford to use the certificate as bog roll....like I said yesterday, definitely no sleep lost over it....yet I get the distinct impression you are very bitter over Motion Media/Scotty.....wonder why !!!

OK, APSOO, I'll back-off. But honestly, you need to place your efforts where they are:

(1) Better rewarded; and
(2) better appreciated.

You are giving your time to the truly undeserving. They treat you and all shareholders with contempt.

My advice, sell your shares, get your pittance back and go and buy your child or grand child an ice-cream.

IMHO & DYOR

I'm fully aware what I could have and could not have done. I make my own decisions and stand by them and take the consequences.

Well, you could have sold this stock a long time ago and used the loss to offset the gains you made "many times over in the market on other stocks".

You must have heard the saying 'mighty oaks from little acorns grow'; actually the motto used at my daughter's school, they use the Latin, but I think I will refrain. :) Well, if it takes 30 minutes to update a website then make the time - you never know! I personally knew some of the staff who worked for Scotty and work like this they could do in their coffee break. This is what makes it very frustrating and infuriating. Please don't provide them with the excuses they are looking for.

"This remains, of course, on any criteria a highly speculative holding. I hung onto mine & even added a few to 'cast on the waters' at the AIM delisting.
We're not talking about the family fortune invested there & it gives an interest to follow."

Point taken, but surely even if it is only €100, it is still €100 to lose, and other stocks could provide the interest with much more shareholder appreciation and thoroughly more liquid news flow.

Scotty is fully written off as far as I'm concerned.....anything that comes back is a bonus and I certainly do not lose any sleep over this. Made the money back many times over in the market on other stocks.
Thanks for your thoughts again ladybird1.

Fair points, Minerve. I'm not sure that in the very tight, specialised market Scotty inhabit the website matters a tuppenny rap and the very small management team have other foci for their energies. Perhaps a catching up half hour job when the Accounts are posted?

This remains, of course, on any criteria a highly speculative holding. I hung onto mine & even added a few to 'cast on the waters' at the AIM delisting.

Think of the verb you are using. Should you need to use this with your investment when the investment universe is huge? Sell, make your loss, and use it to mitigate future gains for goodness sake.

Re-listing on AIM! LOL

Marconi, Enron and Worldcom have a greater chance.

The fact the website isn't updated tells you all you need to know about how this company views external shareholders. A very easy, cheap means of communicating with the outside world and there we have Scotty who couldn't be bothered. It is a potential avenue for new sales if managed and run properly. I see local family businesses run better websites.

Dividend? Now, this is getting ridiculous.

What is your continual obsession with this pathetic company? If you like industrial, buy something proper like BAE or RR. You are not going to become millionaires through this stock. I really struggle very hard to see what attracts you here. Honestly, it must be an anal OCD type attraction.

IMHO & DYOR

APSOO - try googling 'Scotty Group' & 'last 24 hours'. It'll give you a link to 'Airborne Technology' site and the Scotty news handouts are on the page to which you are taken.

The recent orders that also ladybird alluded to don't seem to be mentioned anywhere on the website or any other place?.....not that I don't believe they're not there.

The website's not been actively updated for ages so I shouldn't read much into that - the 'HD coming soon' headline way out of date, for example. I should guess it's not much in their mind - in practice potential customers not likely to be interested, company controlled by its main shareholders so small shareholders effectively just a nuisance and I don't suppose the Austrian 3rd tier market has a requirement to maintain it.

The Results likely to be the best/only source of information. They not due until 9 months after yearend, so could be a couple of months yet. With the end of the German helicopter contract, you'd expect Scotty to be likely 'a bit tight' financially with the potential to go bust fast. The company's viability would also weigh with customers in considering placing an order. So on both counts the recent orders seem particularly positive.
