I've already got quite a lot of these, and also HYC, but if they stay down at this level for the next five weeks I'll be topping up for next year's ISA.

My only thought is buying opportunity, but unfortunately I thought the same when it was around 97 and can't afford any more now.

Regarding the decline today - the falling pound must be beneficial to SWG (and others in the sector) as quite a bit of their income is earned outside the UK, and it must make all such companies appear even more attractive to overseas predators.

SCOTT WILSON WINS TWO DESIGN AND BUILD CONTRACTS IN ITALY

26 February 2010

Two consortia led by the Europe Region of Scott Wilson have recently been awarded contracts to design new and upgraded road infrastructure in Italy.

The first contract award was made by a consortium led by the major Italian contractor Impregilo to provide detailed design services as part of their contract to design and construct the widening to dual three lanes of 19km of the A4 motorway between Venice and Trieste together with associated works to connecting roads. The A4 motorway is the primary west to east artery, linking the major industrial centres across the north of Italy and connecting Turin and Milan with Venice. It is also a major transit route for international traffic.

The second contract award was made by another Italian contractor, Grandi Lavori Fincosit. It covers the design of the upgrading of 9km of the A3 motorway between Salerno and Reggio Calabria in the south of Italy

Scott Wilson will provide, through the Rome office of its Italian partner 3TI Progetti, design management services worth €513k and on the A3 contract further project management services during the construction works worth €324k.

Simon Hindshaw, Managing Director for the Europe Region comments: "We are delighted to win these commissions as they represent the first step in achieving our strategic objective of introducing our core service provision in roads to other countries in Europe. Moreover, the contract with Impregilo helps cement our relationships with a major global contractor with whom we are working on a number of projects elsewhere in the world."

Any reason for today's sharp drop? 25,000 sold suddenly in lots of 5,000 and 6p off the price. I'm tempted to top up but I'll wait a little and see if there's any more movement.

summary of situation for SWG in Saudi. Nothing too exciting but hints that they have new projects on the go, no litigation re monies o/s & being more selective on new projects by carrying out DD on new clients:

Somebody is building a stake. I've been watching this with interest over the last few weeks and normally takes until Dow opens before the trades start, but off to an early start today.

This goes ex div next week but with the buyer holding the price at the £1 mark, it will be interesting to what happens. Will they let it rise and then clean up after 20th? Who knows.
