14/11/2017 18:39 | you misread...obviously English not a strong point...:) no one is saying it is down to brexit...although trepidation by those not voting out to spend may you may agree play a factor... also October sales are reporting across the retail space and given this is a service economy must elicit some concern... PS as for Avatars views they are entirely his prerogative..and was not voicing a view on them omly given the importance of the sector he reported avidly including the effects of the weather on them, which was a timely heads up on the events in the retail space for me...so was more asking after him... | ramco
14/11/2017 12:22 | the tragic and rapid loss of employment in that sector and very concerning October sales not in line with his views on brexit utopia The problems with bricks and mortar retail are down to Brexit, not the emergence of a cheaper alternative with a wider selection? These people are unbelievable. | grahamite2
14/11/2017 11:31 | Nothing to worry about I a sure.... | dope007
13/11/2017 12:47 | There needs to be a full accounting of how the claimants funds have been spent. Including those donated to the AG. | m1k3y1
13/11/2017 12:26 | Hopefully the Mail on Sunday will do a piece if the Action Group keep the shareholders' fees ! | chinese investor
12/11/2017 22:32 | Agree with you Barmiddleton about contacting Signature. Found them to be very helpful. The more claimants that contact them the better. Here's hoping that the Journo's dig deeper ! | m1k3y1
12/11/2017 22:02 | Thanks CI, as I say any national exposure can only help our cause. BTW, I'm with m1k3y1 in that I believe you can only claim for shares bought in the Rights Issue. m1k3y1, don't think I'm brave talking to the Mail at all. I don't read the newspaper myself but there are a lot worse publications out there than them. Anyway, as I have said, any national exposure is good. More the merrier, and, as Ive said in previous posts here, the more claimants kick up a fuss about the Action Group the better. To do this we should all be writing to Signature Litigation about our concerns as I have done. They are basically the white knights in this sorry saga and the more support they get from us claimants/AG members the better. | barmiddleton
12/11/2017 15:22 | The lawyers at Signature will clarify for you, I am sure. | m1k3y1
12/11/2017 15:22 | Chinese You can only claim for the number of shares you subscribed for in the Rights Issue take up, as far as I am aware. | m1k3y1
12/11/2017 15:12 | I have claimed for 3,966. I wonder whether I should have claimed more - i.e. should I have included the number of my RBS holding (i.e. 2,400) ? | chinese investor
12/11/2017 15:07 | On 29 February 2008 I bought 1,200 RBS at 397.25p for £4,803.34 On 21 April 2008 I added 1,200 RBS at 395.44p for £4,781.51 I took up my Rights 1,466 at 200.00p for £2,932.00 (Rights Issue 11 for 18) On 21 May 2008 I bought Extra Rights (Fully Paid) 2,500 at 40.45p for £1,028.81 When these lapsed I bought the Rights at 200.00p for £5,000.00 | chinese investor
12/11/2017 14:47 | It was the lead article in the printed version of the Mail on Sunday. Well done Barry ! | chinese investor
12/11/2017 14:44 | Brave of you talking to the Mail . It's an awful paper but I have to say, I am glad that this information is getting out. Maybe other Journalists will pick it up and do some research on it . Who knows what else they will find that us claimants haven't been told ! | m1k3y1
12/11/2017 12:35 | Interesting articles g1945, thanks for the heads up! I've learned more about the power behind the AG with these two articles than ever was disclosed to any of us by them! I've been in discussion with Signature Litigation and one of their associates telephoned me this past week asking if I would be interested in speaking with a journalist about my experiences with the AG and the case. I agreed and William Turvill of the Mail on Sunday, who wrote these articles, duly phoned me and I agreed to go on the record, basically telling him my concerns and issues. You will see that he has quoted me in one of the articles, ie Barry Middleton, and I am glad that I did as the more news exposure this story gets gets can only be to our benefit imho! Just going out to buy the newspaper now to see if there is anything else of interest in print. | barmiddleton
12/11/2017 12:28 | It really is quite unbelievable how much has been spent , with no accounting to claimants of where their money has gone. | m1k3y1
12/11/2017 12:26 | Several million went to Bird & Bird ! | chinese investor
12/11/2017 12:15 | Well. he may yet get a return. Until the final accounting is completed, we won't know who will get what. I suspect that the AG will keep the debate going for a while. After all 20M is very tempting but I think they may have met their match in Signature. Will we ever find out how the AG have spent the claimants funds though ? | m1k3y1
12/11/2017 11:14 | This is good ! "But (Hemmings) appears to be driven for a desire for justice – not just recouping some of his losses – as he also put up £10 million at the eleventh hour to allow the case to go forward. He is making no return on that chunk of money." | chinese investor
12/11/2017 10:06 | Very interesting. I disagree entirely with any 'success fee' being paid to the RBoS AG . I continue to ask for anyone who is a member of the group to provide a copy of the contract and terms of engagement that they signed , with the RBoS AG , stating what fees will be paid to the AG. I have yet to hear from anyone who is a claimant who has a contract with the RBoS AG. certainly I have never had one and as such, never expected to pay the AG a fee from any settlement that was agreed, or from any award granted by the Courts. I am grateful to Signature for taking a stance against this unauthorised payment and very much hope that they will get to the bottom of these questions and work hard to provide the best return possible to claimants. | m1k3y1
12/11/2017 09:17 | The Settlement Pot was £200 million. We got 82p per share before costs. i.e. we were expected to own 244,000,000 shares. Now we are told there could be 75,000,000 shares less. i.e. 169,000,000 genuine shares. So if the £200 million remains on the table then that is a settlement of 118p per share (44% more)... ...before costs ! | chinese investor
12/11/2017 09:12 | The Daily Mail article mentions the "75 million mystery shares" ! That's compensation of £61.2 million ! | chinese investor
12/11/2017 09:10 | I'm glad that the story is out there now. It might make Walsh and his cronies think twice about trying to con us. | g1945
12/11/2017 09:01 | The Daily Mail article set to annoying music :- | chinese investor
12/11/2017 08:57 | "Signature hopes to pay investors their compensation in the New Year." | chinese investor
12/11/2017 08:54 | I really can't see how the Action Group can receive a Success Fee ! | chinese investor |
