Morning everyone, looking back at the trading over the past month, there was widespread speculation from the Chartists that the share price would fly if R1 closed above 43p as a crucial resistance level was broken. Cannot see any flying as yet - could it be that a disruptor in the form of the big Mr T renders charts invalid ?Now where's that RNS ?

Benny, indeed the point was about Cheltenham and Ruby/Mullins and whether they were a disappointment...


Their 2 top rated stars, Douvan & Djakadam lost... Douvan odds on to win.. how many punters would have bet huge amounts on these 2 alone...

Out of around 40 runners, Mullins had 6 winners...
Elliot had how many?? around 30?? and was crowned top trainer..


Ruby/Mullins were a disappointment for the week...

I was indeed referring to Cheltenham and Ruby/Mullins...Precinct was correct to say Ruby was top jockey but in terms of stats..


This year Mullins had around 40 runners.. 6 won.. stats, 6/40, 15%..
Didn't he have 50% strike rate at his 1st festival??


Ruby had 4 winners - all Mullin's trained...How many rides in total?
the combination, how many rides were Ruby/Mullins??

a lot of Mullins horses were favourites to win...
Djakadam & Douvan, 2 TOP STARS for Ruby/Mullins... both lost, former finishing 4th in the Gold Cup .. Douvan was odds on to win..


so, were Ruby/Mullins a disppointment for the week???
Despite being top jockey and runner up trainer, I would say yes...

Ok - as you are undoubtedly an expert in National Hunt racing, lol what would you say was an easier race to win....a little five runner novice at Kilbeggan, or the County Handicap Hurdle at Cheltenham?

Have you also noticed that Mark Johnston gets rather a lot of winners - but he is not so prolific at Laytown. lol although I do believe he enjoys the beach?

Read my post Dinnywin - "Mullins knocks out a 30-35% strike rate throughout the year relentlessly" I never mentioned Cheltenham!!

To date he is showing a 35% strike rate in Ireland and the last five years have shown him to have an overall 16% winning success over here. This season his statistics are up slightly....18% on 50 runs!

Ruby Walsh has a success rate of 6 wins from 22 rides, which equates to 27%. His place rides include 1 second, four thirds and four fourths.

They are both Irish based and Cheltenham is the toughest festival in the world to get winners.....their figures are sensational! What are you on?

Pinky Pants rightfully pointed out, "Thursday carried Walsh to top jockey yet again, and Mullins joined Elliott at the top of the trainers listings on 6 wins." Johnny Boy and yourself are a couple of amateurs that spend almost every hour winging it!

Mullins strike rate in Britain averages 16 per cent over the last five years actually.
His Irish stats are higher, but then they don't reflect on the Cheltenham meeting do they ?
If you are going to use figures Barkpoo , then the least you could do is to be accurate with them rather than fanciful .

Very valuable this stock - and held mainly by those that know how to play the game!

Google might have a few lawsuits thrown at them in the coming months - A nice clean company like RTHM showing how it should be done....and without shouting too loud! lol
