20/3/2017 22:21 | The other interesting thing about Perk is the so called exclusive partnership they have with Corona, as mentioned in post 3494... as the latter has been re-sold, how will it affect Perk? | sikhthetech
20/3/2017 22:19 | gl, it's obvious who the stalker is marking down the posts... he's also marking down all my posts on tly....lol haven't you also noticed the multi votes up recently, not appearing in top...lol | sikhthetech
20/3/2017 22:15 | apart from Perk, SupportFreeContent, browser extension is also a bad idea... They have a platform supposedly doing well... but SupportFreeContent is a browser extension, so far setup to allow allmusic and sidereel users to use their products with adblocker enabled... SFC retrieving user's browsing history??? 1R are basically saying users can continue using their products with ad blocker enabled.. SFC will contribute a portion of money to the publisher... but the so called favourite site is run by 1R... sod the advertisers... lol surely what majority of anti-ad blocker sites are doing is block users from using their sites...so why don't 1R simply block users from using their site..they can't have it both ways... Shop with Boost was also a browser add on... why go down a similar route as before... "Our browser extension (Downloadable on Chrome or Firefox) provides a simple way to support your favorite sites while still enjoying an ad free experience. " | sikhthetech
20/3/2017 22:04 | fully agree sikh, it is actual performance that matters most, we should see some numbers soon, although I am not expecting great results and the vibe from ad tech doesn't augur well at the moment by the way we seem to have a constant companion awarding us a red tick on every post! A compliment really but erm . . . doesn't someone have anything better to do with their time? Cheers whoever you are! | gowlane
20/3/2017 21:32 | gl, agree.. Perk was a bad move, especially for their reputation... 1R have this great platform that they comment on but then go and buy Perk.com...for their 'engaged' users and then lose a lot of those same 'engaged' users and close down the Indian site.. according to the Perktv reviews, some of these users lost thousands of points as there was no notice given... and your other point re review... still not good PerkTV reviews...lots of ads but not much paid out... Increase in ads means increase in revenue, yet not paying out means lower payouts, so nice little short term profit earner...doesn't do much for their reputation though... | sikhthetech
20/3/2017 21:10 | Let's hope the 2.6m sell, announced after trading hours, is not Tosca's... | sikhthetech
20/3/2017 21:09 | The TU should be in about 3 weeks... It's an opportunity for 1R to provide decent results and a decent outlook statement... If they do then the share price will take care of itself... Some ad tech companies already announced weakening short term outlook and the problems faced by Google add to the potential short-term softening within advertising... Can 1R provide anything to counter that...or will it be the case, as in 2014, they say everything is great at fy but then a few weeks later say that it's not... | sikhthetech
20/3/2017 21:04 | The current problems were highlighted following on from Methbot, 3 months ago When Methbot fraud was 1st published, several companies were quick to show how little they were affected.. Companies like AppNexus, DoubleVerify, SpotX, Rubicon, Index Exchange Dataxu That was the prime time for 1R to be proactive and announce that they too were not affected... Has there been a statement from 1R regarding Methbot?? Companies need to be proactive and not reactive... | sikhthetech
20/3/2017 21:02 | All looking very bullish here folks!!! Won't Y'all gimme a MMMMMMMMOOOOOOOOOO!! | geheimnis2
20/3/2017 21:00 | I doubt serious investors are blind or stupid either... Companies need to be proactive and not reactive... The problems Google are facing are short term... does anyone seriously believe that Google will buy 1R or partner with 1R's platform rather than implement some extra safeguards on their own... given they disallow any 3rd party software... I'd expect them to maintain a strong protection of their system and continue with the walled garden approach...and introduce new safeguards... Youtube has a huge customer base worldwide.. 5bln Ytube videos watched every day... I doubt Ytube users will stop using it because of the current problems faced by Google and the boycotting by advertisers.. if anything, users will probably be relieved that they are not seeing the ads... more importantly, advertisers will always go to where the most users are.. If anything Google's problems and the rest of the challenges facing the industry will improve the ad experience for all and maybe fewer users will need to use ad blockers... | sikhthetech
20/3/2017 20:31 | 1R has a particular reputational issue weighing heavily against it, and I would guess that the association with Blinkx still resonates within the industry for all the wrong reasons. And then they go out and buy Perk with their armies of 24/7 followers, running multiple devices to clock up their rewards, not spending a dime, not even watching the videos! they cannot win with that, if revenue goes up competitors will say, well they are up to their old tricks again | gowlane
20/3/2017 20:16 | I apologise in advance for moving away from the intelligent and well thought responses from all posters today. However i just cant think who, but someone seems to be missing today?Long may it continue!! | kendonagasaki
20/3/2017 19:07 | P14, you have a point!I wonder how polished the rns will be?They would be idiots not to mention the current status quo within the competition at present. But then again they have been idiots in the past? They will not get a hotter iron to strike imo!!!! | kendonagasaki
20/3/2017 18:20 | Another piece just on the news now about the YouTube problem. If Google aren't hammering on our door and shouting "name your price" to either take us out or secure an exclusive deal then they should be. | bluesbreaker
20/3/2017 18:11 | leluot, guarantee tosca now own those 2.6m. watch out for the 29% rns coming soon. | rocket fuel
20/3/2017 18:03 | OOOOhh dear yet another red day so who is selling? SC I imagine | leluot3
20/3/2017 17:21 | 2.6m sell gone through. more food for the hungry tosca machine to soak up. expecting another holdings rns declaring plus 29% very soon. | rocket fuel
20/3/2017 17:20 | Decent late trade. 2.7M @43p | loafofbread
20/3/2017 16:18 | But investors on the other hand?! My point on the other board was that I suspect I'm not the only investor who has chosen to take profit in Alphabet today. I think this might be particularly true of UK investors who originally got into Alphabet partly as a hedge against brexit. Such investors, who like the idea of an adtech investment with largely dollar-denominated revenues, might not know about R1 and its particular strengths in the context of google's current little local difficulty. Therefore some timely R1 publicity aimed at the investment community (and UK investment community in particular) might be an effective thing in terms of bringing newly cash-heavy investors into the company. | 1gw
20/3/2017 16:03 | Advertisers and publishers are not blind nor stupid... They know which metrics and platforms are out there... The current industry challenges Google faces have been known for a while and the whole industry is affected.. | sikhthetech
20/3/2017 16:01 | seanje20 Mar '17 - 14:49 - 5571 of 5577 2 0 Spoke to somebody at co. They said they never comment on the competition because they don't need to as the product speaks for itself. In which case, the H2/FY numbers better be doing a lot of speaking for themselves. | precinct14
20/3/2017 15:57 | IF SJ spoke to FTI they know SFA. | loafofbread
20/3/2017 15:55 | Good question. But who will pay him to do it? Do the Quantcast figures indicate that everyone is suffering due to the kickback on Google and Friends? Could it be that the whole industry is affected including R1? The response that Seanje received is frankly ridiculous and smacks of English rugby (nothing to learn from anyone else). A company just recently on its knees surely can't be as smug as that? | polythene |
