04/11/2016 11:25 | 3 Nov '16 - 00:09 - 1538 of 1542 0 0 I think the pubs benefitted from the rugby world cup in oct 15. The pubs are "Pub Restaurants" rather than straight pubs and don't have TV's showing sports. So they probably suffer during major sporting events rather than benefit. | adobbing
04/11/2016 11:24 | oh hang on they're consistency yoyo! | gutbuster
04/11/2016 11:21 | Sales pass £50m at country pub group Three new openings have helped turnover surge past the £50m mark at a country pub group behind a number of well-known establishments. Brunning & Price, which since 2007 has been owned by The Restaurant Group, was founded as a collection of pubs in the North West and North Wales. The business now has venues across the South East, West Midlands and East of England. In the year to 27 December 2015, Brunning & Price pushed sales up by 12.7 per cent to £54.5m, while EBIDTA grew by 14 per cent to £8.2m and pre-tax profit climbed from £5.7m to £6.5m. During the year Brunning & Price opened three new pubs which were all said to be performing well and set to generate strong returns. So far this year, the business has launched The Oakley Arms in Brewood, The Prae Wood Arms in St Albans and Preston's Haighton Manor. The Physician in Edgbaston is due to open later this month (November) and will be the last new pub for the group before Christmas. On site, Brunning & Price has the Dinorben Arms in Bodfari, which will open in the early part of next year, and the Fox Revived, Norwood Hill, which is schedualed to open in February. Established in 1989, Brunning & Price was born out of the friendship of Jerry Brunning and Graham Price and has grown from a small collection of pubs in the North West to a group of larger family of pubs spanning the country. The Restaurant Group, the listed group behind brands including Franke & Benny's, bought Brunning & Price for £32m in 2007. | adobbing
