Have been away for a short while and returned late last night, hence the delay in responding.
The family has 76 shares in Total. Not totally sure whether it is worth selling now or wait a bit longer.

Glad to read any views .

I take it you are not prepared to indicate on the BB how many you have to sell!

Prod..

I am wthl H L, if you have your shares in cert form, then why do JP Jenks suggest that you use your broker.

My shares with reflec are in cert form also. When REf delisted i moved my holding from my Vantage nominee ac to a cert form.

So, if what you have experience now, surely this will be the same for ALL shareholders who have their holding in cert form.

So, why the need for JP Jenkins if they can't match a trade.

Out of curiosity how many do you have to sell????

Note for reflec...TIM / PAUL / MARTIN...possibly you need to look at this problem

I would be grateful if anyone can help

I have been trying to sell my REF shares , which I hold in certificated form, through J P Jenkins, but I got the following response from them:
"In order for us to attempt to match up your sale with a buyer you will need to leave a limit order via your existing stockbroker as we cannot deal directly with the general public
The indicative share price is £170 per share"

When I contacted my broker Hargreaves Lansdown, I got the following answer:
I'm afraid we are unable to arranged matched bargain deals for clients with certificated shares. We only use the JP Jenkins facility to sell out of residual holdings from our Vantage service.

Can anyone suggest a possible solution to this Catch 22 situation?

Thanks in advance

philmac 56 re TCG your saying i'm betting on 159p at open up to 175p, then end day at 165p

Have you gone nuts ...if it does go that high you must have erased YOUR REFLEC LOSSES.

Part of its problems was being on the AIM market and the fees and regulations it had to comply with cost too much for such a small company.

It also allowed the sharks to take over and bleed it dry of its assets without investing in R and D. The company appears to be well run now - so leave as it is.

Hi All

A thought on how to move the share price forward and make it more attractive!!!!

I understand AIM ahares can now be placed in an ISA, This gives the investor a TAX FREE GAIN (I know EVENTUALLY!!!)

When REFLEC was listed it was in the AIM market, therefore, would there be an advantage to re-listing to give current & prospective investors the opportunity to move this stock under an ISA umbrella!!!!

OR

Would the cost involved of re-listing, not make it worthwhile.

I personally enjoy getting the divi, at least it IS a return at the moment & YES the share price is SLOWLY moving on up, again my b/e is £340, so WE are some way off that.

Open to idea's or to be shoot down

regards

phil

my sentiments also.

i had considered selling here to weigh up the loss against the gain... keeping an open mind at the mo, will wait to see what developes in both camps, also considered here to average down, whilst selling some of TCG... so at logger heads at the mo.

I have never sold a share at a loss, but have lost out on 1 share a few years ago...albert fisher 3k...live and learn

gl to all

philmac 56, yes took them and so often panicked and went to sell, Glad I did not, at least the profit is helping to balance some of the loss made here. However still happy to hold.

i agree with your sentiment in both camps... BUCKS being made in TCG, with REF slowly climbing northwards, all be it at a snails pace when compared to TCG.

But all adds to the bottom like.
I take it you took up your rights and still in there, i did, and still holding.

PS Can the chart at the top be changed to show £170!!!!! as a buy

r40pdb - Whatever you said to JP Jenkins seems to have done the trick, the link above in the "Research Tools" seems to be working again! Noticed it was playing up a couple of days ago.

I see this is your first post here, I take it you are REF holder of many years standing like the rest of us!?
