29/8/2013 21:38 | Philmac56 the next set of results should show a decent rise in capital and upswing in production against all regions with a much more competent management, lets hope reflec continues to improve only £10k shortfall to cover | 4screws
29/8/2013 21:25 | 4 screws I've edged my bets here at hawk, dioed in three time now with a holding of 1.5m shares at 9.5p between myself & wife, all in ISA. now for the rise, doubling to 20p, will be great... but some suggest 28p, mind boggling for me then. I also see TCG on the bouce, back up toward the £2.00 no advise intended take care phil | philmac56
29/8/2013 20:55 | philmac56 so your average on hawk is 9.5p you jammy man, mine is so much higher , I still think it will come good, a few year it was suggested it could go to £1.10 then the wheel fell off, now it's back on | 4screws
20/8/2013 07:33 | 4 screws, again no adice intended, check with your broker, but i an certainly you can off set the loss with a gain. But i seem to recall that you have to register the loss with the Tax Revenue. I still have a loss of £2100 (Albert Fisher) from 2003 who went into receivership ... The letter from KPMG, and i quote "There are insufficent funds to meet the claims of creditors in full and thereforeno monies will be available to distribute to shareholders. Accordingly you should consider your shares in the company to be of no value. On this basis, you may wish to make a claim to the Inland Revenue under Section 24 TCGA 1992 to crystalisea capital loss on the shares to tax purposes." My position may be different tou your position, so i am not too sure, check it out with a broker. That hurt at that time Good luck | philmac56
19/8/2013 21:04 | can I offset losses against gains, I ask as you seem to be very knowledgeable as some I am sitting on losses more than 10k | 4screws
19/8/2013 19:12 | 4screws, many thanks for the tip, water off a duck back as far as daytrader is concerned. Me in for the penny to make the pound with early retirement getting closer, thanks to both TCG & HAWK Now for reflec to pay us some rewards!!!!! | philmac56
19/8/2013 16:08 | philmac56 note you getting some stick from daytrader on hawk...by the way, you must be serious investor in hawk if you just bought another 54k. I should have requested a wee fee for reminding you to go back and buy more ...ha ha !!1 | 4screws
18/8/2013 08:40 | No advice intended here.... But have you looked at Transferring yor ISA to another provider.. I think it is possible, but not 100% sure. I have my ISA with Hargreaves Lansdown, never had a problem & easy to buy sell online, i have transferring into HL, but that was ISA cash from Building Soc accounts, so i did not have to close the ISA & lose the umbrella for previous years. Again not suggesting HL DYOR/IMO | philmac56
17/8/2013 08:20 | They have to have a start date after 5th August 2013 I guess. It is ok if you sell and then wait for a downturn in the share price and buy back into an ISA. Good chance of doing that these days. Anyway the broker charges are usually very small. Have to pay 0.5% stamp duty again though. | johndee
16/8/2013 21:21 | I have an isa with legal and general but cannot transfer aim shares into it unless I close it all and start again. someone care to help me understand these new rules | 4screws
16/8/2013 14:50 | Better still now as AIM shares can be saved from tax by modest investors. | johndee

11/8/2013 16:19 | philmac I am expecting faster returns on Hawk over the short term as more news is released. With TCG I think this will trade between 160- 190 for the next few months, whereas Hawk in 6 months will be much much bigger on returns, just wish I had more capital. | 4screws
11/8/2013 09:43 | 4 screws I've never done it before, but i day traded HAWK on the Thur & Fri, ended up with £4.5k profit, dumped it all back into TCG. I will play that Roulette again this week Ta for the hint/tip | philmac56
