For those that read the article, there are exactly zero mentions of Vanadium. Also, it appears the fund has been bid for already, so the main hope is sub contracting from a winning bidder.

At least they haven't bloated the M.Cap of the company with the placing, maybe that formed the reason for the large discount. If the placing and open offer are all taken up, the the M.Cap at todays price is in the 56m region, which is slightly less than the 60m plus recently achieved. That bizarrely is a positive as far as I'm concerned.

I shall watch RED closely as I think they're in an interesting sector.

I do think there's a significant change in Policy and direction actively taking place in the Power/Energy Sector here in the UK and elsewhere at the Macro and lower levels, which RED-T is well positioned to contribute to. It will be all about timing if we're to "cross the Chasm" and boom

Interesting to notice the mention in that BBC article is all on Lithium, no mention of any other technology. RED is still an R&D outfit that have managed to secure funding to keep going - even though the CEO made very clear statements about being fully funded till end of 2017, a trust issue hangs over RED and that includes any statements they issue about the state of their business.

Reckon it'll take years for them to make meaningful sales, meantime it looks like Lithium is the established chemistry.

Odds on that RED will raise money again at some point in the future.

If you had £467 in your back pocket and lost, let`s say £12, would you then proclaim you have lost nearly 30% of your money.

I`m with Scott all the way, but some issues need addressing.

I`m not knocking it and clearly it is an already done deal and like I have said before, I would have done the same thing.

You mention the 30th of December? so why the massive drop in what appears such small volumes in comparison to the number of shares in issue?

How can anyone forward sell shares that haven`t been issued?

redT energy plc, the energy storage technology company, is pleased to announce that it has conditionally raised gross proceeds of £12 million from institutional and other investors through a proposed issue of 150,000,000 Placing Shares (the “Placing”;) at a price of 8 pence per share (the “Placing Price”).

I believe this to be the "over hang" or should I say predicted over hang from the mm`s.

The share lost nearly 30% of its value on a 12 million volume in one day. If you were to take into account the number of shares in issue and divide that by the MCAP, you would see that the share has fallen to a price that clearly has questions as to why?

30% of 467 million shares guys???? does that come close to 12 million shares?

Good to see such positive posts in the wake of the placing. You may all be aware of this, but please remember that the trades as recorded by ADVFN are nonsense. For example the 372,093 sell at 11.36am was actually a buy at 08.36am through HL. They get it wrong at least 50% of the time in my experience (maybe more with a tight spread).Good Weekend All.
