LSE close 165.5p - not so sure about the breakout but now we're the right side of 165p. Fingers crossed.

Nicky Name - is it any wonder they follow you? Why even acknowledge them?

fizzypop - hope you're right. Chart certainly needs a break upwards.

A nice uptick to 164p to close. Wishful thinking perhaps but this looks like a possible breakout above 165p is imminent.
But some very large sells today of 2X50K + 70K + 75K + 200K shares on LSE so it looks like an institution is off loading.

'IOPABBM' you really are a fool.
Apologies to this thread that the troll's aliases have stalked me here again.
I am not Steamy, but the troll likes to tell me or imply that I am!
People like 'IOPABBM' aka Hvs1 rackers1 etc etc are debasing Advfn.

Nice recovery today from 154p just beginning to show a little strength you can tell by the silence on this board

Junglee, I agree that Osborne's utterances are of limited relevance to Redde, but it is worth considering that it's one thing proposing radical change to access to justice, and quite another getting it through the Commons and Lords.

Osborne is proposing to remove our rights to legal representation on any claim for injury below £5000, following a road traffic accident. This is unfair, and will be difficult to enact, with such a small Conservative majority. Even Tories will vote against it, in my view.

The issue of legislative changes re: accident claims was raised by the Chancellor during the autumn statement. Redde issued a response --- see RNS of 27Nov2015. Relevant extract : "The Board of Redde notes the comments made in the Autumn Statement on 25 November 2015 regarding compensation claims...Redde supports the efforts of insurers to eliminate fraud and notes that the majority of the cases handled by NewLaw are handled on behalf of insurers and brokers.

Redde further notes that the activities of the Group which would be covered by
legislation of the sort proposed by the Chancellor contribute less than 2.5% of
the Group's revenue."

Thus the company made its stand very clear on the draft legislation that it would be subject to consultation and that in any case it was relevant to only 2.5% of the Group's revenue. Thus it is not considered material. Redde is a great home-grown business and its management needs to be applauded and feted for serving the interest of all its stakeholders. Any insinuations are a sad and mischievous attempt to pull down a success story.

Price being pulled down by a succession of AT sells. Machinations by MMs I guess.

On the basis of the response below I would assume the new insurance legislation will have no material impact because if it did they would have to release a statement.

All the best

I am replying to your email to Redde of 10 May on the Company’s behalf.

As you will appreciate the Company is not permitted to comment on an ad hoc basis on the possible future impact of external events. If there was, at any point, a material and relevant impact on any of the Company’s operations from an external event, it would be obliged to make a statement to The Stock Exchange and would of course do so.

Thank you again for your email. I am sorry I cannot give you a more specific response.

Kind regards,

toyin

I have to congratulate you (not) on your 'guru' technical analysis on Redde, when you confidently assured us here that the 161p support was broken

it seems not

maybe confess to us all exactly how you are connected to the Grecophile?

you aren't the man himself are you?

I suspect that he uses quite a few aliases

Panic Investor

he is good mates with the Grecophile blogger

a mistake in my opinion, to be close to such a loose cannon

pesonally, I would not trust the Grecophile blogger one inch

all those limited companies and family trusts

while disclosing that he has no personal financial interest in companies he damns and tells others to short

at least pauly admits he owns the shares he ramps
