27/9/2017 08:51 | ...so what is the market cap of HSBC??? | netcurtains
27/9/2017 08:50 | I'm banking on success | netcurtains
27/9/2017 08:30 | ...and you can take that home to the bank! | netcurtains
27/9/2017 08:17 | * sorry, above should have read just shy of £2m of operating COSTS associated with running the bank | graham1ty
27/9/2017 07:59 | Happy to hold on this TS, one to tuck away IMV :-) | cheshire man
27/9/2017 07:51 | As soon as investors look towards 2018/19 profits, this should get rerated. There has been a lot of cost getting the bank going, and there are a short £2m of operating costs, so it was always going to hold back profitability for a couple of years. However, if PCF can get the deposits in ( and £51m in two months is an annualised £300m), lend prudently, and move upmarket into Prime, Super Prime, then the growth potential is enormous. The share price is down 40% from the high | graham1ty
27/9/2017 07:34 | Very good today,looking solid. | geraldus
27/9/2017 07:24 | See post 2179 from a few days back. As I hoped for, PCF announced a strong update this morning with, "FY results expected to be ahead of market expectations". Retail deposits at PCF Bank exceeded expectations & came in at £51m to date. Growth in new business - while maintaining a v low impairment of 0.5% - augurs v well. As Simon mentioned a few posts back, this management team have delivered in spades. Very well done to Scott & the team! Kind regards, Gordon | glasshalfull
26/9/2017 13:16 | So, can't buy at anything like 23.4 any longer. I'm being quoted 23.9 for low volume | cc2014
26/9/2017 12:41 | The buy volume is starting to pick up for some reason which is good news. Possibly the perceived risk due to Brexit is reducing? | cc2014
26/9/2017 09:32 | I have been in this one for quite a few years and must admit it now looks a very good steady buying opportunity with a large seller in the background. I have been buying at 23.41p in very good size so there is potentially more. I will hold fire on buying more before the next update which must surely be very imminent. | davidosh
25/9/2017 22:07 | CC2014 - I try not to get hung up on trade data. I've been adding incrementally to my position & did so again today at 23.42 just prior to the close. It may have been interpreted as a sell by some watchers. Stock been offered closer to the bid for a while now. Unsure who seller(s) are but I appreciate the opportunity to top up below 25p (the price of the placing in March 2017). This is a long term investment for me & I'm confident the share price will be materially higher in 12/18 months time. Hopefully any t/s pre or post the 30.09.2017 year end will confirm continuation of the strong Q3 trading update & indicate that the Bank deposit taking has started as per expectations. Kind regards, GHF | glasshalfull
25/9/2017 18:24 | hmm. I see there were 2 late trades on the 21st at 23.75 and 23.5. The 23.75 has to be a buy and I assume the 23.5 is where they were sourced from. Feels like there is still someone selling in the background, who one of the MM's can go to for stock. However, whoever is selling clearly doesn't want to go below 23.5 as all the trades at 23.0 seem to be PI's who are presumably bored of the slowest moving stock ever. Happy to be bored here. Update can't be long now and seller can't have an unlimited amount of stock | cc2014
20/9/2017 20:29 | I always appreciated your thoughtful comments, Graham. | 123davidgwilym
20/9/2017 17:36 | 123 David, I think you know who I am.....the shareholder who kept most AGMs going that extra 30 mins. I see Scott regularly | graham1ty
20/9/2017 10:01 | I was rather hoping the movement would not be down though. | netcurtains
19/9/2017 19:23 | Thanks for that, Graham. (I used to be the chairman.) | 123davidgwilym
19/9/2017 16:09 | this is the longest this share has been without movement for about 3 years | netcurtains
12/9/2017 09:51 | Carcosa, add hard working, honest, extremely experienced Board Add: always delivered what they have said Add: no fanfare, just get on with it Add: very good at looking after private shareholders | graham1ty
12/9/2017 08:23 | Have just taken a relatively small position in this share today. See it as as potentially doubling in share price in 2 years or so. Reasons for buying: - Low impairment costs - Relatively lower risk - Increasing ROA - Banking license/lower cost of funds - Substantial growth in new business forecast / £128m - £350m in 3 years and £750m in 5 years - Asset backed finance - Low bulletin board forum chatter - Trading Update expected next month - Relatively small spread | carcosa
03/9/2017 08:18 | Hoping that at some stage we will get an RNS about progress with deposits | graham1ty
18/8/2017 15:42 | There has been a big seller recently who I'm assuming has now finished with that large 1.5m ish buy about a week to 10 days ago. Unfortunately and this seems to happen far more often than I would believe it appears that a number of PI's who bought early after the IC tip are now selling out through boredom. Currently they can cover the trading costs and the spread so for them they see another opportunity elsewhere. So, now imho we are now in a state of new buyers soaking up the bored and I expect they may continue. However, sooner or later we will get some news, even if it is only re-iterating the plan is coming together and that PCF are delivering what they say they would. The market can temporarily ignore perceptions of the future but it doesn't ignore a good trading position delivering a good P/E for long | cc2014
18/8/2017 15:30 | this has been flatlining since June. We need a bit more interest here. PE 9.7 HSBC PE 135 Come on - we're dirt cheap for a bank!!! | netcurtains |
