19/9/2018 10:25 | Its possible they are still drilling. Wild Horse-1 it was Sinpoec who estimated just 25 days to drill - they believe the geology is benign and so will be quick and easy to drill. Snow Leopard-1 it was Sinopec who estimated 70 days - this is due to the geology being more complex and difficult. With more complex geology things go slow..........and so it might take another week or two weeks of drilling yet before they get to TD. We may know more tomorrow, with either a 7am or 9am or 10am RNS which will be the AGM statement. | pro_s2009
19/9/2018 10:16 | One thing we do know for sure, they are making Petro Matad much more attractive as an investment to institutions. Presently the company rules are a bit weird, like no AGM in the UK, no UK Chairman etc..... however lots of the company rules are now being changed at the AGM tomorrow and these include that future AGM's can be in the UK, Directors can be from the UK, Chairman can be from the UK etc... The full list of proposed changes to be voted on tomorrow are in the link below : . | pro_s2009
19/9/2018 10:01 | Yes TS. I would expect a 7am RNS with the Statement that is to be read out at 9am (4pm Mongolia time). In this will be an update on Snow Leopard-1 I am sure.......be it they are still drilling, or are presently logging, or its a duster, or its an oil discovery. . | pro_s2009
19/9/2018 09:57 | AGM tomorrow at 9 am BST so I expect some sort of news update then or in an earlier RNS. | trulyscrumptious
19/9/2018 08:39 | Looks to me like someone wanted a buy order filled, the 248K buy at 8.05p. All trades this morning at 8p or below were sells - trigger by a quick move of the bid/offer down.............onl Its just the way MM's fill buy orders.......shake it, knock stops, fill the buy order. | pro_s2009
19/9/2018 08:11 | Ouch! not looking too good here. share price allowed to drift to prepare us for not so good news? Just saying like. Obviously hope I'm wrong! | 113mike
18/9/2018 16:35 | 113mike. You sound like my poor old departed parrot. On his grave I wrote, 'Words flew, but he never did.' | trulyscrumptious
18/9/2018 16:28 | 113mike. Volume is very low..........nothing really. Not even 2 million shares traded today. Your last post was very wrong was it not........ : 113mike - 06 Sep 2018 - 11:35:08 - 597 of 856 Duster next week? | pro_s2009
18/9/2018 16:24 | cashandcard. I think we may have encountered something as well. But... He did use the word, 'disappointing' in the Operations Update of 7th September regarding block XX so I don't think that was related to SL, more a genuine disagreement with the contractor over equipment. Drilling block xx would not have affected current drilling etc as it would have been with a different rig and I do feel the company would have wished this had gone ahead this year. He added: 'Operations at Snow Leopard 1 in Block V are progressing and we look forward to updating the market once the drilling has been completed. Similarly, 'preparations at Block IV are on track for the Wild Horse 1 well.' So no delay for WH. But he does include the words, 'we look forward to updating the market...' Would he have said that if it was a duster? Normally, 'looking forward' would suggest something positive to tell the market. After all, who looks forward to telling everyone about a lemon? It does seem as though block xx will underpin the company's market cap if it comes in so the current share price is looking very cheap with 6 wells still to go. I have some spare cash for a dud, or a good result as that will de-risk very large area. | trulyscrumptious
18/9/2018 16:22 | must be a duster! doubt settling in...sp sliding! | 113mike
18/9/2018 14:37 | TrulyScrumptious, #838 My take is they 'may' have encountered shows, but want to be sure of the nature of it and whether or not it merits commercial significance. Rather than let the market down like the campaign almost a decade ago, they need to state with clarity the results when they are announced. The wording in that interview, which I listened to again and again very early in the morning, signalled to me they will push XX back IF they start to see encouraging signs. I would be interested in knowing how far they were with tender process and if the differences with contractor really were that great. Because it looks awfully convenient (from where I'm sitting) given MB's previous statements. Were they just hanging on to see what they encountered in the first 40days? There was also that high volume day? Or was that just a coincidence. I reiterate it could come to nothing and I remain a watcher with funds at the ready. Tread carefully folks. Cash | cashandcard
18/9/2018 14:22 | That's the market currently in general john. I am in another stock, which, like these, could have company changing news this month and like here there is next to no interest. Fingers crossed on both. | ducatiman
18/9/2018 14:16 | IMHO many have derisked here and lightened down their holdings. There has been no speculation or excitement around the drill. To be honest looking @ the social media interest, BBs etc you would hardly know there was any drilling.LOL | john henry
18/9/2018 14:10 | I see a few are jumping ship as per usual! | trulyscrumptious
18/9/2018 14:03 | Even so, I think there will be drill news whatever it is. | trulyscrumptious
18/9/2018 13:43 | Paulie, the AGM is in Mongolia, there won't be a crowd, hostile or otherwise! | ducatiman
18/9/2018 13:30 | Just my thoughts, but.....clearly the company have some sort of understanding as to where they are now at with the drill given the reference previously to likely taking less than 70 days, and that reporting would be around 70 days, not finishing the drill. Therefore, if it was me and I was aware of bad news, I would want to get this out of the way with well in advance of the AGM so that I could manage expectations / avoid a hostile crowd who has just found out bad news. I think they have to release something before the AGM, otherwise how are they going to answer questions about the drill without giving away price sensitive information. The alternative would be to provide no information about the drill when asked (which is inevitable) although this would not be acceptable. I am becoming more and more excited. | pauliewonder
18/9/2018 13:22 | If its 90 MMBO as per pre drill estimates then its worth 60p a share on an NPV10 basis. However you are not going to get that all at once...........needs to be flow tested by a testing rig and an appraisal done......which will likely then increase the size of the find. However, thats not all. In the immediate vicinity of Snow Leopard-1 is another potential 700 million barrels, which would all be very significantly derisked if SL-1 strikes oil. So that is worth additional speculative value on the share price. So initial strike news.......if it is an oil strike, maybe up to 30p........ The next well is the big one, Wild Horse-1.........NPV1 Not worth thinking about at the moment...........nee | pro_s2009
18/9/2018 13:21 | ssnichani. It all depends on how much they think they have but 25p does sound a good first port of call. Then of course, there will be lot of possibilities opened up and every man and his dog will want in so it could take off from there. | trulyscrumptious |
