Crazycoops, I sold my holding this morning, because 50% profit since I put my £6k in was enough for me. It has bought me another 535 GVC shares, just in time for the divvy! I now hold 96% of my portfolio in GVC.

I hope you are proved wrong, barnetpeter, and the bid is at 70p!

There you go...as predicted. Now for my second suggestion....the bid approach by a much larger engineering group at 50 to 69 pence

CHESTY1, that's good of you. Not many do that. I hope you are not proved right ultimately :)

crazycoops, I do have a habit of investing on a snippet and a hunch and researching deeper later (when I might add - as in this case!).

Mcap £11m, half year EBITDA £776k, so say £1.5m full year, and £2m cash at half year could very well be nearer £2.5-3m by full year, so EV is by my reckoning likely at price now to be c.£8-9m on growing EBITDA which in my opinion could be at the low end at £1.5m for the year to Dec 16....IMO for this growth, that is still v. cheap...but DYOR...

IMHO, with their being only around 35.5m shares in issue this share could fly.

well done you guys! £2m cash last financial update DYOR, but if continuing to increase EBITDA then this pile should also increase, so at c.£10m market cap, still a long way to go IMO...gla

Ditto on virtually every point bones except I calculated the contract values prior to piling in :)

I did a quick track back through the RNS'd contract wins of the last two years during a quiet moment at Christmas (sad I know). I estimate that, from the July 16 to Dec 16 announcements in isolation, there are around £10m of orders attributable to 2017 alone, not counting what was added to the back end of 2016 and from 2018-19.

Assuming, they can maintain that kind of new order rate in 2017, a re-rating was in the bag really. That's what caused me to pile in at 18p to 20p immediately after the £6m GWR order was announced in October.

I just hope they start paying dividends from the 2017 finals in March. Naturally, they will need to re-invest cash in IP development as well as potential acquisitions, but they should have enough for an initial 2% yielding dividend perhaps?

(NB, These are all speculations on my part, I hasten to add, so DYOR!)

bizarre only if no reason, stock IMO still looks decent value, so maybe people buying in ahead of 2017 further progress! GLA

Belting ahead on volume. Have we a leaky ship or has the £10M threshold in M/Cap kicked in for all those johnny-come-lately funds?

So, it was Chelverton taking a bit off the table. Wouldn't be surprised to see Downing follow suit.

I agree with you about the new tax year. Looking forward to the 2016 trading update first though. One step at a time, there is a head of steam building here and value being built.

Well done to all that resisted any temptation to sell. Hopefully they will be higher still in the new tax year. Off on my jollies, but will still keep an eye.
