12/1/2017 17:00 | Just too cheap... and growth is impressive. It will re-rate, only a matter of time. | kuss1
12/1/2017 16:56 | I believe the management has handled the recent "rout by rumour" rather well so far and partly on that basis I have bought back in again - again. GLA longs. | keyno
12/1/2017 16:38 | @Maddox - I agree - the organic growth is first and foremost fantastic - low double digit could be any number between 10-49% - most likely 15%-25% based on past performance. Which on a status -quo is great but - ....M&A was indeed in the TU " In line with the Group's strategic pillars, the business continues to pursue bold M&A alongside organic growth, in order to accelerate growth opportunities and fortify its strong position in the payments space." of note is that the word "bold" was put in front of M&A - therefore has significance - so that indicates it is not small and is most likely transformation - i.e. significantly diversifies client base or sector - hence we should see a re-rating !! so more a case of "when" rather than "if" associated with speculation - on past performance that "when" is going to be 7 March GLA | wolfhound1
12/1/2017 16:35 | Well if the history of the buybacks continues we can see 420p in the short term. | malcolmmm
12/1/2017 16:35 | sold half my holding @ 407 and managed to buy back in again. was expecting the share price to finish in the blue...see what tomorrow brings Friday the 13th ! GLA | stockbob
12/1/2017 16:24 | The idea of a takeover/merger of PAYS is pure speculation - hardly likely to turn -up in a trading update?? M&A usually means fund raising, means more stock, means share price dip in most cases - so why should that frighten off the shorters? Whilst there are certainly short positions being held onto we can't see the other side of their book - we have no clue to what their net position is or what else they may be hedging against. So, forget the idle speculation and veiled doubts. What we do know is that these results are very good indeed and further it looks like they're on a roll: 'management remains confident about the Group's outlook for FY 17. Management expects to achieve low double-digit organic revenue growth in FY 17[4] from a base of 2016's record performance, while expecting to at least maintain adjusted EBITDA margins.' Also, that we have c.£94m of buy-back capacity still available. 'Gift horse and mouth' comes to mind. Cheers Maddox | maddox
12/1/2017 16:22 | It will be interesting to see tomorrow how many shares they had to buy today to keep it in the blue. | salpara111
12/1/2017 16:20 | Shorters are slowly closing, they cannot buy back in much quantity otherwise the price will surge | malcolmmm
12/1/2017 16:15 | M&A activity might be in train but execution is most likely on 7 March - so fun and games might happen til then, that said nothing to stop a surprise announcement if managment felt they needed to do more than the existing buy back. No guarantee what shorters will/won't do - but I suspect they will be out looking for their next victim.... that has less risk and potentially more profitable. | wolfhound1
12/1/2017 16:13 | Reckon these will have a blue finish | malcolmmm
12/1/2017 16:13 | How do you know Tjbird? | ihatemms
12/1/2017 16:09 | They are intending to do the question and answer session after the acqusition in the next few days. Watch and learn. This is going to spike up. Sharply | tjbird
12/1/2017 16:02 | The possibility of some form of M&A activity, which looks quite likely now, hasnt frightened off the shorters.I find that strange. | nurdin
12/1/2017 15:54 | That is the thing with M&A activity - all you can say is that it is in train - after that you can't say much if the target is a listed co - price sensitive information and all that - I am sure the rumour mills in the city will fill the void in due course :) Not long to the 7th March and YE numbers published - historically the date for acqn announcement M&A activity has a way of drawing a line under shorting activity :) | wolfhound1
12/1/2017 15:48 | Sphere25.I remember back to PapaD. as I'm sure you do. | geraldus
12/1/2017 15:46 | Feeling the negativity from some. Long term holder and continuing to hold, c94% of buy backs left to go and shorters having to close at some point I know I'll reach my target sooner or later.Patience is needed but possibly some are expecting the share price to shoot back to where it was. It would be nice but I'd rather we see a steady climb again and gains are maintained! The markets have seen some amazing gains across commodities and I'm sure a lot of the big players cash will move back our way soon. | jarega85
12/1/2017 15:26 | So Leonoff does a runner on the conference call. Why not take the time to answer questions to reassure investors after the shorting attack? This was an absolutely golden opportunity, and he just couldn't be bothered or is he hiding something? That really hasn't gone down at all well with me folks. Behaviour like that adds to the short case. | sphere25
12/1/2017 14:21 | Big 26,000 order sitting at 397, once that's out of the way, we should make some progress, if there are buyers around of course... | smcmahon993993
12/1/2017 14:13 | Disappointing that they weren't doing Q&A after the briefing. An opportunity missed I feel but they are "letting their results do the talking" | mip55
12/1/2017 14:13 | That CC was just for people who can't read right? | smcmahon993993
12/1/2017 13:51 | Still 5 x as many orders to sell than buy, but these could be shorter orders which will disappear as the price moves within reach | smcmahon993993
12/1/2017 13:44 | P.S. How is L2 looking now we're blue? | sheep_herder
12/1/2017 13:38 | rHatton, nfs - don't be silly, it's definitely not coincidence and we're definitely listing on the NASDAQ. Aunt May told me so after looking at her tea leaves. | sheep_herder
12/1/2017 13:33 | The dates are just a co-incidence, they were within a day of each other when the interims were reported in August. | lomax99
12/1/2017 13:31 | i don't like the look of that L2 order at 401p, 164k shares. A big blocker to getting up to 408 again today, or even 402 for that matter. Unless the II's take that and everything before it out after the CC | smcmahon993993 |
