22p is a great result given the geopolitical situation and the chronic lack of cash this company has made in the last few years.

It seems a cheap offer to me but considering the history & messy loose ends I cannot see anyone else bidding more.

Pan is writing off Rosbunker. PBI appears strangled by lease negotiations with the owners whose relationship with good morals is not the best in my opinion. Dan Balt has had a second less bullish statement. I had thought the new pumps was the end of it but it is now being described like a parent might describe a junkie problem child.

The Rosbunker "partners" may have acquired the other 50% almost gratis after all is said and done. Not fact or based upon any info, purely speculation. I don't believe things are as simple as many may think as there appears to be what resembles multiple instances of fronting going on in russia. All speculation and not based upon any fact but I wouldn't at all be surprised if there are fewer parties involved than you think.

All speculation and your over active imagination may differ from mine. Life imitates even the most far fetched fiction when it comes to things like this, especially given the geography of Rosbunker and all the parties involved directly or indirectly.

Would 25p not be a cheap way for our Rosbunker partners to buy us out, and have baltic top and some nice European asset's thrown in??

Steg, this one will go through because Belphar have shown their keenness for some time now and already have over 29% of PAN, plus another 10% of other acceptances.

In this particular case I can't understand why anyone is selling at the current 20p, missing out on another 2p of upside.

Simon is 67 years old I believe so I expect he wants to retire instead of fighting more battles. There is a chance of a counter bid but would have to be 25 p or over so that shareholders who have accepted bid can change sides. Probably best to wait and see if something jumps out of the woodwork.
Roman Ambrovich would do nicely.

Hmmmmmm 22p not exactly what I wanted but prob good enough.

Experience has shown its generally better to take what the market offers and run prior to any final payments as these things fall through about 50% of the time.

You might get more but equally might get a lot less!

bangers for bucks - who says we are guaranteed 22p - a good proportion of these deals do fall through (though I'm not expecting this to do so).

On the flip side there is always to possibility of a counter bid!

I can never work out why people sell shares at 20p when they are guaranteed 22p if they wait a while?

Tragic but as Gerald says we can sleep easily now.

Not sure everyone can but we can.

Game over. Dusting myself off and moving on.

Could and should have been so much better.

I wonder what the incentive was for Simon to suddenly change views on the value of PAN ??

I think most will be relieved at an exit given the weakness in the price this year (and before). Only investors truely in it for the long haul will be miffed..... and those who sold recently ;).

Its a shame though - Belphar have got themselves a company on the cheap and they will cream it.

What can I say, bitter-sweet, low ball offer really but I had severe doubts that we would ever realise the aspirations the BoD has communicated for so long.

Yep, Belphar to the rescue. Almost 40% acceptances secured already, so basically a done deal.

Circumstances (Russia, Ukraine etc) have conspired to make 22p a good exit at the moment. A shame, but still....an almost 70% profit overall can't be sneezed at.

We're getting close to that time again - "Full Year Results" are due before end of June

I suspect the company may want to get the result out a little earlier this year rather than have us sweat on it in the last 2 weeks of June - I'm sure Belphar will watching with great interest and probably be hoping for problems then they can pounce on any weakness.

Optimistic as ever I think the result will be good and will be earlier than usual, possibly even before the end of May.
