OTE is very disappointing; I wonder where the Bod expects existing investors to get funds to save themselves from such heavy dilution? They've given away the control of the company for peanuts. Very selfish indeed!

I will like existing shareholders to come together so that we can block this deal, by voting against it. Send me an email at Kssksally at yahoo dot com, to estimate how much vote we can gather.A couple of large holders will be on board

I' am certainly not an idiot Topvest, but those lousy thoughts of your serves the company and its shareholders no good whatsoever. On the contrary, I feel you're an intelligent person with a hidden agenda.

At least we can agree that equity funding does not make sense in current circumstance, given the heavy dilution and the non participation of key investors. The best way forward is to optimise OTE's portfolio, rather than seeking to maximise it at an irredeemable cost, as the Olympics approaches.

Oympic boost for east London house prices

Some house prices near the main site for the London 2012 Olympics have risen sharply since the Games were awarded in 2008, Lloyds TSB says.

Homerton and Shoreditch both in the borough of Hackney - have seen average property prices rise by 69% and 53% respectively, significantly above the Greater London average of 36%.

Lloyds TSB housing economist Suren Thiru said: "Some areas close to the Olympic Park have experienced a sharp rise in property prices since London's successful bid to host the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

"Part of this rise is likely to have been due to an increased interest in property in these locations from both buyers and investors as a result of the associated regeneration taking place.

"The picture, however, is mixed.

"Looking forward, property prices across East London are likely to receive a boost from the legacy of improved infrastructure and transport links left by the London 2012."

i,d imagine full year pretax should be good relative to market cap, i doubt there will be further write downs? Interims support a higher market cap on there own.
East London property investor O Twelve Estates (LSE: OTE.L - news) has sold a Swanley industrial estate for £24.4m, against its most recent valuation of £17.8m. This has helped cut its loan from Nationwide Building Society to £145m. This gain on NAV will help to wipe out the net liabilities on the O Twelve Estates balance sheet

Fell free to sell your shares by the way. There are plenty of savvy investors who will be looking to buy them. I think 100% occupancy will happen in this area with the Olympics around the corner.

"The Group's target area in the Thames Gateway was selected to take advantage of the urban regeneration and infrastructure projects taking place in this area and for which the 2012 Olympic Games are a major catalyst. Letting activity over the past six months has been very positive with ten new lettings totaling 164,000 sq ft completed, thus reducing the void rate from 12.5% of estimated rental value at 31 March 2009 to 10.5% today. If lettings which have been agreed and are currently in solicitors' hands are completed, the void rate would reduce further to 7%

Rockspring Seeks to Raise $800 Million U.K. Real Estate Fund

Investors are starting to return to the U.K. commercial property market after values fell from their peak in mid-2007. The market "appears to be bottoming out," Segro Plc Chief Executive Officer Ian Coull, said in a statement yesterday. U.K. values rose in July for the first time in two years, said broker CB Richard Ellis Group Inc. on Aug. 6.

"In the last two or three weeks, it seems that a number of investors have stepped up the pace," Kathryn Dixon, a director of Rockspring, said in the same interview. "They're hearing the story and they're not wanting to miss the boat."
