Northern Foods Takeover Rumours (NFDS)

Morning, not my day as BHP ( held ) launch takeover bid for AAL (no holding ) What with LGEN xd today am way under as compared to indices. surprised https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c84z0lk0019o

After looking quite strong at lunchtime, things tailed off quite a lot for me. CREI looks like it may win its takeover for API and that caused their shares to fall. My biggest loser today. AV/CREO/VLX doing just enough to keep me the right side of the line +0.07% (xd's cost me 0.1% to, but that will be added back in due course).

Another good week in the markets - two in a row! +2.16% this week again mostly due to DLG and there continued rise - will a takeover happen soon and at what price? Interesting time.. AV. LLOY also helping this week and very nearly at B/E for LLOY. might let them go if they get into a profit for me. My funds have also had a decent week. YTD is now +2.64% Good weekend all :)

I hope you get back into profit there Carp, I sold out of DLG when they axed the dividend as I felt it might be sometime before it was reinstated. However, I was always conscious of the fact they may be a takeover target, one of my larger losses over the last few years unfortunately. wllm :)

I'm down -0.152% on the day todfay (FTSE100 -0.436%). Worst falls: AZN -6.86%, SSE -4.69% and TW. -2.35%. Best rises: SMDS +9.78%, BATS +7.12% and ULVR +3.15%. Results from AZN, BATS and ULVR and an update from SSE, plus a takeover offer from SMDS. Effects obvious. Just being dragged off to Wetherspoons. DF
