Sportech is asking too higher price for 'the pools'. If a sensible price can be agreed then there is a deal to be done imhoDyor.coxsmn

It is still a fairly nice fit although it would be an expensive addon.

I can see some nice cross selling opportunities from the TV slots to football pools

Well we are only a few percentage points off a multiyear low which was when we were down at 4p. I was really hoping we would slowly creep up to 10p again after results but this doesn't look good. Not sure what it will take to get the market attention it needs. Numbers didn't look that bad to me and a healthy dividend that is in no danger of being cut. Good luck but looks like I will need to wait a lot longer on my target exit point of 14p

ref vernons.com

the sky is the limit i guess but its probably a pretty crowded marketplace so i guess we have to wait till the company gives us a clue as to whether they can generate material revenue and eventually profits here. On the plus side Vernons is a pretty good name but i am not sure how much presence they have at yet to pull the customers in - i would like to see them get on oddschecker for example as that must drive in quite a bit of business. I guess though slow and steady is better than having so many customers where you can't cope from a service point of view. I am not sure if anyone is monitoring the traffic to their website - its not something i know how to do but would probably be a useful stat to monitor over the next year or two. I aint used the website yet to deposit or place a bet but seems pretty nicely laid out etc

Lowest close since August 2nd. I guess the market was less impressed with the earnings report than I was. Looks like another 6 months until we will likely see price movement when we get the final results. Hopefully we have a blowout 2nd half of 2016 or better yet get taken out! Does anyone have any other idea's of what could impact us positively before then?

I think the problem here is quality of earnings going forward.

Firstly they have to spend a lot on marketing just to maintain what they have and they are always going to be dependent on the success of the shows where they advertise. I also think that there must be only so much money the gambling public can spend.

They have a three year agreement with ITV so what happens when that runs out? That is a medium arrangement term at the most. Maybe it can be renegotiated but on what terms?

I can therefore understand why an institution like Henderson is continuing to sell.

Despite my loss here I am going to stay in because I think there is little downside, however I think there will need to be some form of corporate activity to generate any upside.

Henderson sold a few shares and gone below 11%. Explains the selling, but they are being mopped up as soon as.

If they have done selling, we should get a tick up.

Yes I think there was more buys then the trades list is implying, anything over 8.8 look like they could be buys.

Alot of turnover since results and IC comment, albeit some sellers appearing, but at this low level seems odd IMO. They can't all have bought much lower, as it's close to it's lows.

Maybe a firm break out above 9.3p might change attitudes?
