Ha - the entire stock market is a gamble, but it has to be said the biggest returns come from the biggest risks...

Could lose all here in a flash, or make 10x in a day or so....

40million shares only so quite illiquid and a small overhang at the moment which has pulled the price down...

It is a punt though you right ha....

Interesting article. Perhaps with the recovery underway and the major Elizabth bay location closed, there will indeed be some incentive to get NBR operations back up and running....

Ok will add more later - but the stock interested me because of the evident distress in recent times which has led to a company valuation of £800k with 40mn shares in issue (at 2p per share).

Directors have chipped in £350k unsecured and interest free and purchases of stock in 2008 were at 10p... Their interests are aligned with company survival I think.

So here is the punt...

If they can reopen the mine and get producing, raising a little funding to do this of course, then could see a decent recovery in the share price

If they cant, I go home with - nothing.... hmmm

I think very high risk stock with potentially very high returns....

IMHO

HIGH RISK SHARE!!!!

Snippet from August rns (possible green shoots??)

More to be added shortly

Since the year-end Sonnberg's operations in Namibia have remained on a
care-and-maintenance basis and the Directors have continued to support the
company with unsecured, interest-free loans, which totalled GBP350,000 at 28
February 2009.

In recent weeks the price falls seen in the international diamond market in the
early part of the year have ceased and some price stability has returned to the
market albeit at lower price levels than in recent years. Renewed demand is
being experienced for good quality diamonds and Namibian Resources is currently
examining whether Sonnberg's operations can be restarted in the near future.

It was announced last year that the company would try and raise funds for
expansion but the downturn in the diamond market precluded this. After the year
end the company has changed brokers (to Keith, Bayley, Rogers) and Nominated
Advisors (to Beaumont Cornish). With continuing stability in the diamond market
the board intends to examine again the possibility of raising funds and will
make an announcement when appropriate.

I would like to thank all members of our staff here and in Namibia for their
efforts in the continuing difficult times.

Lord Sheppard of Didgemere KCVO Kt.

OK super risky share here, but have added 50k this am.

The factors I see as important are:

- need funds - directors have stumped up £350k unsecured, interest free so far (so they are aligned)

- rns end August noted the improvement in diamond market and potential to reopen mine

- strong partnership with namiobian governmental diamond organisation (and seems to be some support there)

- huge recovery in some other diamond stocks recently

imho

I understand that even though production has stopped at the
moment SAMPLING is continuing.Lets hope that NBR has discovered
an area that is diamond rich and extra large in size.
