11/10/2008 11:32 | Bloomberg full of diamonds being the 'rock' in the current crisis. Maybe some well worded spin by NBR would work wonders... Fat chance i guess. | ![]() clarky5150
10/10/2008 11:09 | How are they going to raise capital in these markets? Dilution? | bartyboy
10/10/2008 10:09 | Hi all. Everybody turned up, including Donald Sutherland, who talked longer than Tony with how we would proceed in the future. The aim is to raise some capital and then purchase a second but smaller D.M.S. so that we can separate production and sampling. At long last. The company's aim is to get back to the production figures of the late 2005/early 2006. Tony had the grace to apologize for the share price and lack of production. | maxmol
10/10/2008 05:53 | LOL, Maybe none of the Directors could be bothered to turn up!! | bartyboy

25/9/2008 12:37 | Yes I will be, lets hope Tony turns up this year. | maxmol
25/9/2008 10:08 | Thanks, Maxmol. Are you planning to attend? I will try and make it. | the mullah

24/9/2008 11:14 | When is the AGM? | the mullah
23/9/2008 16:42 | i think that should be brought up at the agm, the land asset is supposedly worth 15p minimum and they have found that there are more diamonds than prevous thought,so should be worth at least that to someone. i would love to see this taken over by someone who could actually do something to give us shareholders some hope. | ![]() n1mgn
23/9/2008 12:40 | And down again. Best that can happen to these fossils is a takeover bid which they are intelligent enough to accept. | the mullah
16/9/2008 10:50 | NBR--Like my old school reports, perhaps the best that can be said is 'steady progress maintained' Lol! SC | shadowchaser
15/9/2008 08:51 | Ahh, more sampling. Next quarter, more sampling... Yaawn.... Will we ever get to serious production? | the mullah
15/9/2008 06:27 | Wakey Wakey! RNS Number : 3775D Namibian Resources PLC 15 September 2008 Namibian Resources Plc - 2nd Quarter 2008/9 Progress Report Progress report for period from 1st June to 31st August 2008 General During the quarter production by Sonnberg Diamonds (Namibian Resources' 100%-owned subsidiary) continued to be derived from the Salzpfanne and the East Salztal North deposits. Sampling was also undertaken in the East Salztal South deposit. Total production from all sources was 663 ct at an average diamond size of 0.40 ct/st. Mining Mining from the Salzpfanne deposit continued in Blocks B and C with 400.61 ct being derived from the former and 118.64 ct from the latter. The overall mined grade of around 0.04 ct/t was below expectation largely because production from Block C was derived from the margins of that block close to the screening plant. The average diamond size from the sections mined in the Salzpfanne deposit was slightly under 0.4 ct/st which is in line with the expectation that diamond size will slowly decline as the deposit is mined upslope. Throughput on the Salzpfanne screening plant was restricted for part of the period by mechanical problems which had been rectified by the end of the quarter. The East Salztal North deposit was in production during the first half of the quarter after which the equipment was used for sampling as described below. Total production from this source was 126.66 ct at an average size of 0.41 ct/st. The grade of deposit mined continues to be in advance of what was expected based on the sampling in 2006. Ten diamonds weighing 4.10 ct were also recovered from clean-up operations. Prospecting Prospecting was undertaken in the East Salztal South deposit. Historical records suggest that a single diamond of 0.25 ct was recovered from a trench sample in this section of the East Salztal valley. In terms of the geological model that has been developed for diamond concentration in the Pomona valleys it was considered that this area was of interest and two initial sample trenches were placed across the valley, one at the southern end of the deposit and the other towards the northern end where a subsidiary basin occurs. Each trench was divided into 30x3-m sections. Five of the six sections returned diamonds. Of particular note, however, is the large average diamond size. At 1.08 ct/st this is easily the highest average for initial samples that Sonnberg has found in the concession. Of the 12 diamonds recovered 6 were more than 1 ct in weight with the two largest at 2.66 ct and 2.77 ct. These are exceptional sizes for diamonds from initial trench samples. Further sampling and acquisition of a larger diamond parcel may, of course, result in a smaller overall average size but from experience in other deposits in the area it would be unlikely that the eventual average diamond size in East Salztal South is very much smaller than these figures indicate. Previous sampling experience indicates that the grade of the initial samples (which ranged between 0 and 0.11 ct/t in individual sample sections) can be more variable relative to the eventual deposit average than is the stone size. Too much emphasis should not be placed on these initial figures and the trenches are too widely spaced to permit a resource estimate to be made. Follow-up sampling and detailed mapping of the deposit are underway and will be reported on when completed. Diamond values Sonnberg produces high quality diamonds of good average size. During the quarter the values received by Sonnberg for its diamonds from Namdeb (the mining licence holder) continued to be strong (relative to diamond size) in both US dollar and Namibian dollar terms. 10/9/2008 16:16 | NBR------It's difficult to take the steady drift dowmwards in the share price of this firm which is in a relatively stable area of Africa and takes an ethical stance in their operations . If you look at the West African diamonds [WAD] outfit, operating in Sierra Leone ,their share price has performed in a equally lame manner and I'm not so sure that their prospects and credentials are as good . I still believe in the fundamental potential of this site and of their partnership with the Namibian Govt. As to the management and personnel ......well that's another question! Lol! 05/9/2008 09:11 | CONGRATULATIONS TONY!!!! You now have a company with a market cap of LESS than £2million. Check the rules, old man. Crossword puzzle clue: Down 1: A broker going for broke. (7,7) | the mullah

29/8/2008 13:15 | AGM on the 9th October 2008 at 11.30 a.m. I think it would be a good idea if us share holders attend and try to find out if the board have any ideas of how to turn this sorry state around. | maxmol
28/8/2008 22:44 | Results must be out tomorrow, Tony's 6 months are up then. If not, we will be fined as a Company. Last year they were out at 12.42 on the 31 August,(last minute as usual). My guess for tomorrow is 12.58. lets all hope for some sort of MIRACLE and that Tony has some very good news for us POOR,LONG SUFFERING share holders. It really is about time this Company started to move forward. Get our production figures back to over 500 carats per month as we have achieved in the past and then at LONG LONG LAST we may even see a move in the right direction as regards our PR that we may been promised, time and time again. Don't forget that our production figure for year end 29th Feb. 2008 was (519 carats) + (454 carats)+ (519 +454 +450 carats) a total of 2396 carats. An average of 200 carats per month. But we did do a lot of moving the equipment around this financial year. We should also hear of the date of the next AGM. | maxmol
28/8/2008 20:07 | Results tomorrow, I suspect! | ncp3
28/8/2008 09:26 | Tony has the ostrich syndrome, head under the Namib sand. For a broker whose profession rates news a top priority he fails dismally. So does his board, including his lying lordship. Should have his head in a bucket. They need a person with allround diamond experience to drive this outfit, not fossils. | the mullah |
