27/8/2009 12:26 | agree - nice to see some new holders - i felt like the mad man who'd been kidnapped by aliens noone was listening and then after spiking to 2.5p a few months back all it's done is fall as people sold out .... the company is fundamentally in the best position it's been in years ..this was obvious if you look at the cinema releases and box office, then that will turn into tv/vod sales and dvd sales - they have now had a 2nd half with dvd growth of 15%.... | moreforus

27/8/2009 10:10 | welcome aboard - i think mms had an overhang of maybe 500k which has now been cleared ...as i said this isnt even on the radar...how many cos can turn a maiden profit and increase revenues by 30% in the worst recession since ..well the last one? If you do that old fashioned thing called fundamental analysis (looks at my cinema revenue analysis which was bang on...)pays off eventually - there are so many oil and gas wonder stocks people don't bother doing the analysis and certain stocks become unfashionable .. that was mrm ... i also own CLEA which has had a dsitressed seller but is predicted to make between 1 and 3 mill in 2010 which values it on current mkt cap at a p/e of 1-1.5...but as there's been a distressed seller.... | moreforus

27/8/2009 08:24 | welcome aboard - nope stick to a small size as liquidity is always an issue...however i dont think this has actually even been noticed by the market ...the rise should get it noticed but this still has a market cap of 2.7 mill and revenue of potentially 9 mill for the year.... | moreforus

24/8/2009 12:43 | they were lost last year and if you look at the annual reports and accounts:- No report on the business environment currently can ignore the impact of the credit crunch. It is often stated that the entertainment sector is recession proof , however the board of Metrodome believe that it should be considered more as being more recession resistant than many other sectors rather than recession proof. This belief is supported by recent research by TNS Worldpanel showing that people intend to watch more DVDs and go to the Cinema more in 2009 than they did in 2008. This potential growth has to be considered in the context that this same research showed that low pricing is a significant issue in consumers' minds. Further the credit crunch has had a significant impact on the distribution chain as we have lost not only the largest wholesaler of DVDs in the UK with the administration of EUK, but also lost significant names off the high street such as Woolworths and Zavvi. Although this, without doubt, restricts the availability of product on the high street, it does create opportunities within the supermarkets and online retailers which Metrodome are well placed to exploit. | moreforus
24/8/2009 12:38 | moreforus what effect do you think the loss of WLW dvd sales will have on results? This is a genuine enquiry. | figure6 |
