30/8/2009 09:11 | hi tr - thx for this.. | moreforus
29/8/2009 16:28 | Metrodome first half profits soar Business Financial Newswire Film group Metrodome's first half revenues rose 30% to £4.5m with headline operating profits up 23% at £161,000o. Pre-tax profits for the six months to the end of June rose 189% to £159,000. The firm says there is strong competition from other film distributors in the film market for the acquisition of product for next year. It says film producers have also recently cut back production which may limit the number of quality titles available. But it adds: "Having built a reputation for releasing quality independent films that challenge audiences and provoke critics, we believe we are in a good position, both strategically and financially, to acquire strong titles for release in 2010 and beyond." 28/8/2009 14:05 | that's a bit cheeky isnt it? GAS tripled CDN 4 times MRM up 75% CLEA tripled MRM has the potential to 2-3 bag from here - the company just inreased revenues by 30% and bought in a maiden profit in the worst economic conditions since the early 90'... think about that for a few moments, think about what that says about the quality of the product, quality of the management and what they can achieve when there isnt a recession!! | moreforus
28/8/2009 13:59 | I asume you and the researcher are not in many risers?. My main holdings are MMS and PPA which I have doubled on. Next week I am averaging down on OHM, which is 12p to buy and has a 21.5p placing to be voted through in 10 days time. | lord santafe
28/8/2009 09:29 | looks like a 37.5k sale has knocked back kbc to 1.75 ... 3 vs 1 now level 2... low volume - after the march results it started to rise dramatically (cf chart) after a week...rising by 150% over the next 3 months...we've retraced a good chunk of that rise but now we have a stonking set of results to guide the future rather than just specualtion..underva | moreforus
27/8/2009 20:50 | sorry jb you said let you know if it breaks 2.5p - think volumes were quite muted today - we need more to push up beyond that level interesting thanks re Hoods - it was probably previously a definite sell - however i'm looking for a major shift in sentiment based on facts (going from a sell to a hold is worth more than a hold to a buy price wise) and yes agree the the last 3 upwaves set a lower high however hoping today this has grabbed the chart and set a new base to actually break that chart cycle, undoubtedly there will be sellers however i think there are more buyers out there now to take the stock on a dip as there is a proven reason to buy. that's verbatim from the results... a couple of randomn snippets the company have growth plans i'll try to dig up a telegraph article from a year ago but they are quite ambitious. what's interesting is they've hired the guy who believe it or not invented air miles as a digital media consultant. | moreforus
27/8/2009 20:28 | m4us, I'm still looking and doing my research. Here's abit: Metrodome (MRM, 2.25p, £4.16m) Interim results to June 2009 reflects the removal of financial constraints of last year with sales of £4.55m (£3.50m) and pre-tax profits of £0.16m (£0.06m) with 0.1p (0.0p) EPS, despite the failure of Woolworths and Zavvi that forced the group to establish direct relationships quickly. Metrodome achieved DVD volume growth of 14% against a market that declined 7%. On cinema admission the group outperformed the market as well with an increase of 296% against a market up 14.5%. Overall a good performance but the increasing competition for new film releases leads us to a HOLD recommendation. | jamesiebabie
