M4us, I have seen MRM rapidly rise to over 5p on the upswing(back in 2006).It looks like we bottomed today and buyers are returning.I am prepared to hold a year if need be to double here but I know that it can more than double in days.

looks like there is a good schedule of films to be released

jennifer aniston is "Management" tomorrow

Thirst the South Korean winner of Venice (i think) October 23rd

and look at at this french hit...

i think the share price price is grossly undervalued now relative the way this co has now turned around from loss making to profit making and increasing revenues 30%...

tr...level 2 MRM firmed on a 25k buy, there is a tiny amount of free stock - maybe 300-400k so i think any buying interest will propel this - H2 numbers will be better than H1 - they'll be selling the DVDs/tv rights/VOD for the films they had a 297% increase in cinema attendances for in H1...

i haven't gone bonkers - just collated some of the latest news from over the summer for product to be released for the rest of the year to prove that if anything Metrodome are taking advantage of sector condolidation to exploit title acquisition and extend their library on the cheap...ie they are the sector predators and not the prey!

etc etc etc

given that last year and h1 did not have any of the newer more popular films released to dvd...h2 is going to be very lucrative indeed - better imho than h1..

i estimate h2 profits will be much better than h1 .. this would suggest (yawn) yet again mrm is seriously undervalued - the recent fall back in price is due to people buying in on the excellent results and selling out on a t10 or 20 imho, however as this is so illiquid 75k sales = price drop...

i'll crunch some numbers...

50 Dead Men Walking, DVD review
50 Dead Men Walking is a chilling reminder of the legacy of the Troubles.

50 Dead Men Walking

15, Metrodome, £15.65

In a film inspired by the memoir of IRA informer Martin McGartland, director Kari Skogland powerfully evokes the murkiness of lives lived in the shadow of the gunman. It is shot in a gritty, vérité style suited perfectly to heart-pounding pursuits through Belfast back-streets and stomach-turning scenes of torture in hellish abandoned warehouses.

At its core are two superb performances, from Jim Sturgess as McGartland and from Ben Kingsley as his Special Branch handler. Sturgess lends a winning credibility to a jack-the-lad figure who seems almost accidentally drawn into infiltrating the IRA, while Kingsley brings a quiet intensity to an enigmatic role.

The period is the late Eighties, which now seem to be slipping into history. But, if the Troubles have faded from the headlines, Skogland's film, which is book-ended by an attempt on McGartland's life years later, is a chilling reminder of their legacy.

Shifty (DVD)
Paul Cook

Eran Creevy's debut feature film Shifty with its typically hard hitting approach to drug crime and street culture is another in a long line of home grown British films to spring up and make you take notice. Like Noel Clarke's Kidulthood and Saul Dibb's Bullet Boy, Creevy's tale of a small time drug dealer's life spiralling out of control is both gritty and understated.

The fantastic partnership of Riz Ahmed as Shifty and Daniel Mays as Chris - 2 childhood friends gone separate ways - is one of the films greatest attributes. Completely natural, believable performances enable the film to flow from scene to scene and as the past catches up with Chris and the mounting pressures of a drug gang set-up begin to destroy Shiftys life the film builds to it's impactful climax.

Creevy proves himself as a talented director successfully pacing the film to achieve a sense of tension from the outset and shooting in a mix of thriller/drama and documentary styles. Unlike Bullet Boy which boasts beautiful interpretations of the urban landscape, Shifty is grimy and real aiming for a more grounded and ultimately more positive outlook on such culture. Whereas Clarke's film Kidulthood and Dibb's Bullet Boy end quite bleakly, Shifty, without ruining the ending, offers something a little different.

Shifty is intelligent and exciting and well worth a watch if you're a fan of British urban drama. Ahmed, despite a relatively unknown actor until now, gives a career-defining performance supported by a solid cast who give exhilarating, intense performances alike.

Shifty is available to buy and rent on DVD and Blu-Ray.

tivoli compare mrm to sym results just out

they make biodegradeable plastic bags and their stock has rocketed since april from 2p to 12p yesrterday giving them a mkt cap of 13.5 mill

they moved from a loss of 150k to h1 profit of 400k, their revenue increased by 60% to a pa of 7 mill.

this gives it a p/e of 16

mrm mkt cap currently is 3.2 mill its stock has fallen from ajune high of 2.625 mid to 1.75 mid

they moved from a loss of 150k to profit of 160k with a 30% increase in revenue to annualized 9 mill.

this gives a p/e of 9.8

which one is undervalued overvalued - what upside potential does MRM have - we know they have had a good h1 most of the decent releases are only coming to dvd in h2, we also know that the profit was less due to them hiring more staff to expand ie grow the business. The management turned round a loss making co to profit making co and grew revenues 30% - do you think that makes them good or bad management?

i think mrm suffers from only having 3 mms and a microscopic trading volume - as soon as there is any (ie 50-100k plus) buying interest the stock will start to climb - it was marked up on results day - there were sells into the spike and sells yesterday..the same happened back in march but then people started to buy, hopefully we start to get a repeat of that pattern as mrm are certainly a better safer bet than they were 6 months ago.

This share seems to of turned out to be a complete dog. I am glad I only bought £500 worth, and I will try to be strong enough to hold them for at least a year. In that time these should return to the old Metrodome days, when they traded higher than 10p.
